Preaction sprinkler valve assemblies, related dry sprinkler devices and fire protection sprinkler systems
A thermal trigger assembly for remote mechanical actuation of another fire protection system component includes an activation component having a base and a movable member. A bias member biases the movable member from a preactivation to an activated position with respect to the base. A thermally responsive element retains the movable member in the preactivation position until a predetermined thermodynamic condition is reached, when the thermally responsive element loses structural integrity. A flexible connector includes a flexible hollow outer cable housing with one end configured to be stationarily (preferably fixedly) connected with the base. A flexible cable is inside the outer cable housing for sliding movement therein and has one end configured to be stationarily (preferably fixedly) connected with the movable member. The flexible cable is moved with respect to the outer cable housing by movement of the movable member upon loss of structural integrity by the thermally responsive element.
MICROMETRIC VALVE ACTUATOR DEVICE FOR GAS PRESSURE CONTROL
The present invention addresses to a device that allows the control of the gas pressure at the outlet of a fixed bed adsorption equipment operated at high pressures, by means of the actuation of a micrometric valve (6), wherein the valve must be located downstream of the equipment. The valve actuation takes place by means of a stepper motor (1), controlled by a microcontroller board (22), which connects to the valve shaft by means of a system of pulleys (2, 5) and belt (3). The present invention is applied in adsorption units, in which other gases are present, by altering the tuning parameters of the PID controller or even being used in a liquid medium or gas-liquid two-phase flow.
Pneumatic-hydraulic type control valve
A pneumatic-hydraulic type control valve includes a cable attached to a fixed base, a valve base disposed in the fixed base, and a valve stem disposed in the valve base and driven by the cable to be opened. First and second oil guiding holes of the valve base communicate with each other when the valve stem is opened, and the first and second oil guiding holes of the valve base do not communicate with each other when the valve stem is closed. Further, the valve stem has a first stressed portion for bearing a fluid closing force and a second stressed portion for bearing a fluid opening force. The outer diameter of the first stressed portion is larger than that of the second stressed portion. Thus, the present invention achieves effects of simplifying structure and accurate actuation without affecting the sealing effect.
ACTUATOR AND CABLE ASSEMBLY
Provided is an actuator including: a casing; and a cable driving part including a rotation member connected to a cable. The cable driving part moves the cable forward and backward by rotating the rotation member with a force of a motor based on an operation signal. The cable extends from a water flow direction changing part and is inserted into the casing. The water flow direction changing part changes a direction of a water flow to be ejected. The operation signal is an operation signal for operating the water flow direction changing part.
UNIVERSAL JOINT CONNECTION FOR THE MANUAL POSITIONING OF AN ANGULARLY OFFSET VALVE SHAFT DRIVE
A manual positioning assembly for connection to a shaft of a valve configured to manually manipulate a disc of the valve between an open and closed position. The manual valve positioning assembly includes a housing having a first and a second end. The first end includes a flange configured for fastening the housing to the valve. The second end includes a conical feature. An alignment bushing within the second end of the housing and a double universal joint. The double universal joint includes a first end and a second end. The first end of the double universal joint is configured to be mechanically fastened to the shaft of the valve. The second end is positioned within the alignment bushing and includes a socket configured to receive a tool that manually turns the double universal joint, the shaft, and the disc to position the disc in the open or closed position.
Keyed valve box
A valve box for accessing a utility valve, the valve box having a box housing with an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface may have a plurality of fins, and the inner surface may have a plurality of keyways configured to receive a plurality of keys. The inner surface may additionally have threading. The box housing may have an access opening in some embodiments, and the valve box may include a threaded valve box cover configured to be arranged over the access opening. In some embodiments, the box housing may have a plurality of modular rings. A valve box tool may have a driving portion, a valve box engaging portion, and a stem portion. The valve box engaging portion may have a plurality of keys configured to engage the plurality of keyways. The stem portion may be configured to extend between the driving portion and a valve.

ACTUATION UNIT AND VALVE ASSEMBLY COMPRISING THE SAME
A valve assembly including a valve arranged to move between open and closed positions by rotating an operating member about an axis is provided. An actuation unit includes a torsion spring, a trigger member, and a driving member. The driving member engages with the operating member to drive rotation of the same. The torsion spring applies a first torque to the driving member around the axis in a first rotational direction. An external second torque opposite the first torque resets the valve to the open position in which the driving member is held by a latching mechanism. The latching mechanism is arranged to hold the driving member only when the valve is in the open position. An external force applied to the trigger member releases the driving member from the latching mechanism, the first torque thereby rotating the driving member to mechanically bias said valve to the closed position.
WATER BAG CHECK VALVE
A checkbag valve system installed at the bottom of the drainage systems used in sea water, oil tanks, petroleum derivatives and the like to discharge water in water bags which is used for weigh generation to test the lifting capacities of the cranes. A flow preventon plug located at the discharge point of the reservoir is pulled off the hole by a rope or electric actuator to discharge the liquid out or forward the liquid freely to another pipe. The open and close command is provided by a single channel and the opening and closing of the reservoir or low pressure containers is provided with two different commands combined in a way in order to provided a single command from a single point at different times. The risk of rupture of the drive rope mechanism is minimized and there is the reduction in the number of relevant staff for the operation and the maintenance of the valve system.
Water hammer prevention valve and method
A valve for preventing water hammer includes a speed reduction device for reducing a speed at which the valve may be closed. A method of preventing water hammer includes closing a valve at a fire hydrant after extracting water from the fire hydrant, in which the valve comprising a speed reduction device that increases an amount of time needed for closing the valve, and operating the valve to close the valve comprises operating the speed reduction device.
