Pressure Relief Ball Valve
20180010704 · 2018-01-11 ·

A pressure relief ball valve to prevent excessive pressure buildup due to freezing liquid includes a ball that is rotatably housed within a valve body. A fluid conduit traverses through the ball, wherein rotation of the ball via a lever handle either aligns or disjoints the fluid conduit with an inlet and an outlet of the valve body. Meanwhile, a drain hole traverses into the ball and intersects the fluid conduit. When the ball is toggled to an open position, the drain hole is positioned adjacent to a side wall of the valve body, such that the drain hole is capped off. When the ball is toggled to a closed position, the drain hole is positioned adjacent to the outlet, wherein residual liquid is expelled from the fluid conduit. The removal of residual liquid prevents excessive pressure buildup due to freezing liquid within the valve body.

Valve with a locked set screw that is covered with a cap having a rotation space fitting freely over a nut and a female threaded portion screwed onto the set screw

A valve includes a set screw that is screwable into and out of a complementary female threaded opening in a valve part for changing a setting of the valve, for changing an adjustable flow restriction of the valve, in which the set screw includes a free outer end that projects outside the valve part, and a gripping part on its free outer end for a tool to be engageable thereupon. The free outer end of the set screw includes a male thread onto which a locking nut is screwed. A protective cap is provided for covering the free outer end, that includes a first cap portion with a rotation space for fitting freely rotatable over the locking nut, and a second cap portion with a complementary female thread that is screwed onto the male thread towards a locked position.

A valve assembly including a valve housing and a handle that is movable about an actuation axis to actuate a valve actuator within the valve housing between an open position and a closed position. The handle has a first opening and the valve housing has a second opening. When the valve actuator is in the closed position the first opening aligns with the second opening to enable receipt of a lockout member that prevents movement of the valve actuator from the closed position to the open position.

The present invention is an improved fluid valve control device which attaches to a pre-existing and pre-installed hex head valve. The valve control device has at least one lever which can be used to turn the valve on or off. This device can be attached to a manifold assembly that has a valve which typically requires a tool to control so that it eliminates the need for a separate tool being used to turn the valve on or off after installation at relatively low cost.

A container assembly includes a container body having a housing defining an internal compartment and an opening connected to the internal compartment. A cap having an engagement feature is mounted to the housing about the opening. A pressure relief valve is operably coupled with the internal compartment to vent fluid from the internal compartment. The pressure relief valve has a movable member movable between a first position and a second position. When the movable member is in the first position, the movable member is configured to cooperate with the engagement feature to restrict movement of the cap relative to the opening.

Valve Cover

The presently-disclosed subject matter includes valve covers. The valve covers can protect valves from exposure as well as from tampering. In some embodiments the valve cover comprises a cap that includes a top end and a side wall that is substantially cylindrical. Embodiments of valve covers also include a plug on an interior side of the top end of the cap that projects toward the opening of the cap. When the valve cover is installed, the plug can extend beyond an opening of the valve.

Brackets including a plate having a first, a second, and a third opening, and a channel extending from the plate. The channel has a first and a second end, the first end defining a fourth opening for receiving a handle into the channel. The first opening is positioned over the channel such that when a handle is fully inserted into the channel the opening in the handle would be accessible through the first opening of the plate. The second opening is positioned over the channel such that when the handle is inserted into the channel and a connecting pin is inserted into the second opening and the handle, the handle becomes connected to the bracket. The third opening is positioned to align with the at least one hole in a mounting plate of an oil container valve when the handle is coupled to the stud of the oil container valve.
