Systems and methods described herein provide for pressure relief valve detection and monitoring. A valve assembly includes a striker and an indicator assembly separated by a diaphragm. The diaphragm may be elastically or permanently deformable. The striker may be connected to a relieve valve disk that releases in response to high fluid pressure at the valve. Movement of the striker may be detected by contact with the diaphragm or by sensors near the diaphragm, which may trigger the indicator assembly to provide an external indication of a valve opening.

MACHINE FLUID CONDITION MONITORING SYSTEM

A sight glass column is described. The sight glass column is configured to be indirectly attachable to a machine via a machine connector such that machine fluid is transferable from the machine to the sight glass column. The sight glass column further has a remote sensing port, and a lockable oil level ring.

Devices and systems for measuring the state of a valve, and related methods

A device for measuring a state of a valve may include a housing configured to connect to a handle of a valve or a body of a valve, a sensor supported on one of the housing or the valve stem, and an indicator detectable by the sensor. The indicator may be configured to move relative to the sensor in response to movement of a valve stem or valve handle during opening and closing of the valve. The sensor may be configured to detect a position of the indicator to determine a state of the valve. Related systems and methods are also described.

A seat leak measurement system for a ball valve is described. The system includes: a ball valve with a cavity drain line, the ball valve including a cavity pressure sensor; a valve seat leak measurement apparatus including: a cable with a connector, the connector having an external grounding cable; an apparatus electronic control system in communication with the valve sensor retrieval fitting and with valves of the valve seat; an fluid inlet line with a quick pipe coupler, the fluid inlet line having an apparatus drain valve and an isolation valve; a pressure indicator transmitter connected to the fluid inlet line, the pressure indicator transmitter in electronic communication with the apparatus electronic control system; a temperature indicator transmitter connected to the fluid inlet line, the temperature indicator transmitter in electronic communication with the apparatus electronic control system; and a flow elements manifold receiving fluid from the fluid inlet line.

A pressure gauge and/or relief valve which may be used in a single-use fluid system, such as a sterilizable fluid system. The pressure gauge and/or pressure relief valve may be formed of a disposable and/or sterilizable material, such as a non-metallic (e.g., polymeric) material. The material of the pressure gauge and/or pressure relief valve may be compatible with the material of a fluid-containing structure of the fluid system, such as to be bonded (e.g., welded) therewith. The fluid-containing structure may be retrofitted to integrate the pressure gauge and/or pressure relief valve therewith. The pressure gauge and/or pressure relief valve may have a simple configuration, such as a housing with a movable element therein. The movable element moves with respect to the housing to indicate pressure and/or to relieve pressure from within the housing and/or fluid-containing structure.

A digital camera facilitates remote visual inspection of alignment between a rotor plate and a track plate of a multi-position rotary valve. In some embodiments, a signal from the video camera is used as part of a feedback system that controls advancement of the rotor plate, to automatically align apertures in the rotor plate with apertures in a track plate. Some embodiments facilitate remote visual inspection of the condition of a seal sheet disposed between the rotor plate and the track plate, without disassembling the rotary valve. Some embodiments automatically measure remaining usable thickness of the seal sheet.

Machine fluid condition monitoring system

A hub, sight glass column and bottom sediment and water bowl are described. The hub is adapted to interconnect multiple machine fluid equipment to a single port on a machine. The hub is provided with an adjustable fitting connectable to a housing, and recessed within the hub. The sight glass column is configured to be indirectly attachable to a machine via a machine connector such that machine fluid is transferable from the machine to the sight glass column. The sight glass column further has a remote sensing port, and a lockable oil level ring. The bottom sediment and water bowl has a conically shaped bottom to direct fluid to a drain valve, and an indicator located on an upper tip of the drain valve. The indicator is configured to provide information with respect to one or more contaminant or property of machine fluid within the bottom sediment and water bowl.

Valve having integrated sensor and stabilized electrical connection

Rotary valve systems with integrated sensors are described that facilitate stabilizing electrical connection from a valve actuator. A valve system embodiment includes, but is not limited to, a multi-port rotary valve; an actuator attached to the multi-port rotary valve, wherein the actuator comprises a power connection fed from electronics associated with the actuator; an actuator cap attached to the actuator, the actuator cap configured to allow the power connection to pass through; a valve collar with an integrated press-on connector, wherein the valve collar comprises an electronic feedthrough passage for the power connection; and a retainer portion comprising two retainer pins, wherein the two retainer pins are configured to mate with apertures on the actuator cap, the retainer portion configured to allow electrical connection between the power connector and a sensor connector when the two retainer pins fit within the two apertures on the actuator cap.

An indicator adapted to provide a visual indication of an over pressure situation in a system. The indicator (also referred to as a pop indicator), includes a main body, a piston that is disposed in the main body, and one or more O-rings disposed around the piston. Initially, the piston is in a first position where the piston is retracted into the body. However, when an over pressure situation occurs, the pressure causes the piston to move in a direction out of the main body against a friction force created by the O-ring. When the piston is moved, i.e., popped, then end of the piston extending out of the body provides a visual indication.
