Da<Db is satisfied, where Da is the difference in diameter between adjacent thread crests (231a) in the tapered portion (231) in a longitudinal cross section of the pin (1) and box (2) as found when the connection is not made up, and Db is the difference between the diameter of the thread root (131a) in the parallel portion (13) and the maximum diameter of the pin inner sealing surface (11).
Interflow limiting valve assembly
A sleeve for a valve assembly has an inside surface having an interior area and a first cylindrical section extending from a first axial end and a second cylindrical section located between the first cylindrical section and second axial end. A conical interior seating surface extends between the first and second cylindrical sections. The conical interior seating surface is metallic. The sleeve includes a groove that extends circumferentially around and radially outward in the first cylindrical section. The groove extends axially away from the conical interior seating surface towards the first axial end. The sleeve has one or more ports extending radially through the first cylindrical section proximate the groove and are spaced apart from the groove by a lip formed by the first cylindrical section. The lip extends a predetermined axial distance between the groove and the port. The lip extends around the first cylindrical section and radially inward.
THREADED JOINT FOR COUPLING TWO CONCENTRIC TUBES TO ONE TUBE
A threaded joint (200) provides for metal-to-metal sealing on the ends of concentrically positioned inner and outer tubes when joining the concentric tubes to a single tube (107). A threaded coupling (105) secures the inner and outer tubes and joins both tubes to a single tube. The threaded connection leverages metal-to-metal sealing on the ends of each tube. The inner tube (102) may differ in length from the outer tube (101) and contains a single thread (211) at its for receiving the threaded coupling. Threading the coupling onto the inner tube establishes four flexing metal-to-metal seals (209A-D) between the threaded joint components. The inner and outer tubes maintain contact at the internal shoulder (104) as a result of preloading. If the tubes are of varying thicknesses, a nut (307) is placed between the internal shoulder and the threaded coupling to preserve contact between the tubes at the internal shoulder.
Sanitary outlet device
A sanitary outlet device (1, 2) including a housing (3) which has a fitting receptacle (6) with a thread (7) at an inflow end of a flow path (11). A mating thread (8) of a fitting outlet (12) can be screwed together with the thread (7). An outflow-side end of the thread (7) is equipped with a seal (9) by which the flow path (11) of the water flowing through a flow channel of the sanitary outlet device (1, 2) can be sealed outwards at a transition between a screwed-in fixture outlet (12) and the housing (3). The seal (9) forms an inner surface (10), which can be wetted by water flowing in the flow path (11) and which is free of rubber, at the transition.
Fluid connector assembly and method of establishing a fluid connection
Fluid connector assembly and methods are usable to establish a sealed fluid connection. The connector assembly comprises a female union connector having an axial bore extending therethrough, internal threads, and an internal shoulder. The connector assembly also comprises two male connectors, each male connector having an axial bore extending therethrough and external threads. The connector assembly further comprises two ring-shaped seals adapted to form a fluid seal between the female union and the male connectors. The first seal contacts the first side of the internal shoulder and a front end of the first male connector to form a fluid seal therebetween. The second seal contacts the second side of the internal shoulder and a front end of the second male connector to form a second fluid seal therebetween.
Threaded Connection for Oil Country Tubular Goods and Method for Producing Threaded Connection for Oil Country Tubular Goods
This invention provides a threaded connection for oil country tubular goods that exhibits excellent corrosion resistance and galling resistance, and a method for producing the threaded connection for oil country tubular goods. The method includes a ZnNi alloy plating layer formation step of forming a ZnNi alloy plating layer, and a chromate coating formation step of forming a chromate coating after the ZnNi alloy plating layer formation step. The chromate coating formation step includes a chromate treatment step and a drying step. The chromate coating formation step satisfy one or more conditions selected from the following conditions 1 to 3. Condition 1: stirring speed of the chromating solution in the chromate treatment step: a linear speed of 0.5 m/s or more; Condition 2: chromate treatment time in the chromate treatment step: less than 50 seconds; and Condition 3: drying temperature in the drying step: 60 C. or less.
THREADED CONNECTIONS FOR TUBULAR MEMBERS
A tubular member for threadably engaging another tubular member to form a tubular string includes a first end including a helical female thread formed in an outer surface of the tubular member, wherein the female thread includes a slot extending radially inwards from the outer surface, and a root extending radially inwards from the slot, wherein the root has a maximum width that is greater than a maximum width of the slot, a second end opposite the first end and including a helical male thread formed on an inner surface of the tubular member, wherein the male thread includes a shank extending radially outwards from the inner surface, and a notch extending radially outwards from the shank, wherein the notch has a maximum width that is greater than a maximum width of the shank.
