Ferrule assembly for conduit fitting
Two conduit gripping devices that are to be used together in a conduit fitting assembly are interconnected or held together as a cartridge or subassembly prior to assembly with fitting components to form a fitting assembly. In a more specific embodiment, one or both of the conduit gripping devices comprises a retaining structure by which the devices are mechanically connected together as a subassembly. For example, in one embodiment a front ferrule and a back ferrule for a tube fitting may be snapped together.
Device for the sealed passing-through of an elongate part
A device for the sealed closing of an opening for one or more elongate parts to pass through includes a sealing and/or clamping element with at least two interacting first and second parts that are axially displaceable relative to one another, and a pressure contour acting axially onto the sealing and/or clamping element. A first axial displacement of the pressure contour and an axial displacement of the at least one second part relative to the at least one first part causes a first change in geometry of the at least one first part transversely to the displacement direction. Also, a further axial displacement of the pressure contour causes a further change in geometry of the at least one first part transversely to the displacement direction such that the opening is sealed around the one or more elongate parts passing therethrough.
Compression pipe fitting with wide range grip rings
Compression fittings for pipes having a range of diameters, including a support body with a central section between end sections, the central section having a smaller diameter than the end sections, with a transition surface between the central section and each end section. A gasket fits over a pipe and engages one of the support body end section end surfaces. A fitting nut is movable axially over the support body to draw the support body and the gasket together in the axial direction and bias the gasket radially inward against the pipe. A grip ring encircles the pipe at one gasket end and has a surface engaging the fitting nut whereby the fitting nut biases the grip ring radially inwardly toward the pipe. An insert adapter has a hub with a radially extending flange may block the other gasket end to load the gasket between its axial ends.
Pipe connectors and systems
A pipe connector includes a housing body arranged to receive a length of pipe including an end section having an enlarged diameter. A locking member split into two or more segments selectively connectable together around the length of pipe outside the housing body. The locking member is configured to lock the length of pipe within the housing body. At least one sealing member is positionable on the length of pipe between the end section and the locking member. At least one sealing member is compressible inside the housing body between the enlarged diameter of the end section of the locking member. A retaining member is positionable on the length of pipe and attachable to the housing body. The retaining member can secure the locking member to the housing body such that the locking member fills a gap outside the housing body between the length of pipe and the retaining member.
Method for assembling a tube and a fitting body
A method for connecting tubes includes fastening a position locator to an outer surface of a tube at a predetermined depth from a first end of a tube such that at least one ferrule abuts a flange of the position locator between the first end of the tube and the position locator. A tube connector assembly is formed by introducing a compression nut such that an inner wall of the compression nut surrounds the position locator and the at least one ferrule. A fitting body is introduced via the first end of the tube. The tube connector assembly is fastened to the fitting body using a first threading on the inner wall of the compression nut and a second threading on an outer wall of the fitting body such that the at least one ferrule is between the compression nut and the fitting body.
Dynamic Bellows Fluid Fitting
A fitting for a fluid line that will contain pressurized fluid can include first and second fitting elements with respective sealing surfaces and an indicator element for indicating when a fluid seal has been formed. A fitting for a fluid line that will contain pressurized fluid can include first and second fitting elements with a sealing structure secured in one of the first and second fitting elements, wherein the sealing structure is axially resiliently compressible, one example of which includes a bellows element.
CONDUIT BODY WITH SUPER FITTING
Provided herein are approaches for forming a connection with a conduit body. In one approach, an exemplary connector assembly a conduit body having a conduit inner surface opposing a conduit outer surface, at least a portion of the conduit inner surface being a threaded portion. The connector assembly may further include a compression ring extending from a first circumferential end to a second circumferential end, wherein the first circumferential end is complementarily engageable with the second circumferential end, wherein the compression ring includes a first axial end and a second axial end, and wherein the compression ring has a circumferential gap between the first circumferential end and the second circumferential end in an uncompressed configuration. The connector assembly may further include a bushing positioned within the threaded portion of the conduit inner surface of the conduit body.
Tube fitting assembly
A tube fitting for sealing an end of a tube uses a notch formed in the exterior surface of the tube as a sealing seat. An internally threaded body is configured to receive an externally threaded end of a nut, while the body and the nut are mounted in a surrounding relationship to the tube end. A ferrule mounted between the nut and the tube is forced to plastically deform and move into the notch to thereby seal the tube end.
Swage Connector Device, Assembly and Method
Embodiments of a swage connector device and assembly include one or more of a sealing ring, a fastening ring spreader, a retainer grip ring, a cap member and a fastener push ring. The fastener push ring moves axially and engages the fastening ring spreader in order to securely maintain a piping element held within the fitting.
