Cutting ring fitting
A cutting ring fitting for a thin-walled pipe, includes: a connecting body having a tapered cone; a cutting ring; a union nut which can be screwed onto the connecting body; and a reinforcing sleeve for insertion into the pipe, the reinforcing sleeve having an axial slot. A pipe includes such a cutting ring fitting, and a method mounts such a cutting ring fitting on a thin-walled pipe.
CONDUIT CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A connector assembly includes a first connector, a compression member, a retainer, and a second connector. The first connector includes a first coupling portion, a proximal opening, and an annular inner surface extending from the proximal opening. The compression member includes an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface is configured to sealingly engage the annular inner surface of the first connector. The retainer includes a ring portion and a plurality of teeth. The ring portion includes a proximal end and a distal end. Each of the plurality of teeth extends from the distal end and is configured to engage the compression member. The second connector includes a second coupling portion and an engagement surface. The second coupling portion is configured to engage the first coupling portion. The engagement surface is configured to engage the proximal end of the retainer.
Compressible coupling
A coupling comprises an inner body having an interior bore configured to receive a tube or the like. A collar is arranged to be axially received about the inner body. The collar being configured such that when it is forced onto the inner body, it applies a circumferential compressive force to deform the body inwardly. At least one interior annular projection defines one or more annular teeth arranged such that when a tube is received in the bore and the inner body is inwardly deformed by the collar, the one or more annular teeth engage the tube to seal with it. The inner surface of the bore comprises a plurality of circumferentially arranged projections defining a series of circumferentially spaced teeth axially spaced from the at least one annular protuberance and configured to engage the tube following compression of the inner body by the collar to prevent relative rotation between the tube and the inner body.
PIPE CONNECTOR
A pipe end connector assembly and a method of mounting a pipe end connector assembly. The connector assembly may include a first connector configured to selectively mount to an outer surface of a pipe; and a second connector connected to the first connector and configured to selectively mount to the outer surface of the pipe, the first connector and the second connector being operable to apply opposing and negating axial forces to mount the connector assembly to the pipe.
Seal assembly
A seal assembly has a connector body with a first section and a second section, movable relative to one another. The first section and the second section each has an open end configured for receiving the free end of a pipe. The open end of the first and second sections are each configured for sealing engagement with the free end of a respective pipe. The seal assembly is movable between a first condition, in which the second section assumes a retracted position relative to the first section, and a second condition in which the second section assumes an extended position relative to the first section. A seal member is provided for creating a seal between the first section and the second sections in said first and second conditions. First and second adaptors are provided, each for association with a respective one of said first and second sections of the connector body and configured for securing at the free end of a respective pipe. First and second mechanical interlock arrangements are provided, each for association with a respective one of said first and second adaptors, and each configured for driving the respective adaptor in the direction of the connector body.
PRESSURE BALANCING MECHANISM FOR A CONNECTOR
A pressure balancing apparatus can have a compression collar to mate with a component comprising a seal, and a gripper to anchor to a tube and the compression collar. The compression collar is used to apply an axial force to the tube to relieve shear stress on proximate seals. The method can include mating a compression collar to a component comprising a seal, anchoring a gripper to a tube, mating the gripper to the compression collar, and using the compression collar to apply an axial force to the tube.
HOSE JOINT SLEEVE AND HOSE JOINT WITH THE SAME
Problem to be solved is to fasten a flexible hose to a nipple so as to prevent the flexible hose from slipping off by coupling a plurality of belt-like bodies divided in the same shape. A hose joint sleeve of the present invention includes a sleeve main body that is deformable in a radial direction and is provided to hold a flexible hose between the sleeve main body and a nipple of a hose joint, the hose joint sleeve being configured to press and tighten the flexible hose toward an outer peripheral surface of the nipple with radial contraction and deformation of the sleeve main body.
Clawed securing means
A clawed securing means, in particular a pipe coupling, having a band with two halves, which each have a clamping jaw at the ends thereof, the opposing clamping jaws of the two halves being connected to each other in each case by at least one clamping element. The clamping jaws each have at least one lug with a fixed end and a free end. The free end is bent in such a manner that the free end rests on the fixed end of the respective lug and forms a double layer of material. At least one opening is formed in the region of the double layer of material to feed through the at least one clamping element.
