PLUMBING FITTING
A plumbing fitting for selectively allowing the passage of a fluid therethrough includes an elongate body with a first open end and a second open end, with a passageway providing for fluid communication between the first open end and the second open end, where at least one of the first open end and/or the second open end include a connection arrangement for connection with a further plumbing fitting or fixture, and a valve for selectively sealing or unsealing the passageway to allow for a flow of fluid between each of the open ends, with the valve being operable from the first open end or the second open end.
Discrete step, maximum flow-rate-selectable valve
A discrete step, maximum flow-rate-selectable valve includes: (a) an entry tube with: (i) an exit with a single, off-center hole that lies on the circumference of a circle of radius “r” that is centered on the centerpoint of the exit, and (ii) an exterior surface having a portion with rotational symmetry, (b) a selector tube with: (i) an exit with a plurality of holes, each having a differing diameter and a center point that lies on the circumference of a circle of radius “r” which is centered on the centerpoint of the selector tube exit, and (ii) an interior surface configured to lie proximate said entry tube, exterior surface portion having rotational symmetry so as to assist in providing a water-tight seal between said tubes, and (c) a means to enable the selector tube to rotate in discrete steps around the entry tube.
Separator device
An in-line fitment for connection of a filter to a pipe includes first and second fluid-carrying portions and a non-fluid-carrying spacer. Each fluid-carrying portion includes a socket for receiving an open end of a pipe and a connector for connection of the filter. A screw compression fitting is provided on each of the sockets of the first and second fluid-carrying portions for forming a sealed connection with the open ends of the pipe. The socket of the first fluid-carrying portion has a pipe receiving depth greater than that of the socket of the second fluid-carrying portion for enabling movement of the fitment parallel to the pipe when engaged with one of the open ends of the pipe. The sockets of the first and second fluid-carrying portions are positioned on a common axis and facing away from each other when the fluid-carrying portions are linked by the spacer.
Fluid connector and method for making sealed fluid connections
A connector adapted to form a fluid tight connection includes first and second housing sections defining a fluid path. A locking element is configured to selectively lock the first and second housing sections together. A slide seal is positioned generally between the first and second housing sections and is movable between a first, blocking position in which the slide seal blocks and seals the fluid path and a second, unblocking position in which the fluid path is unblocked.
Hydrocarbon pipeline pressure safety relief bypass system
A method, system, and apparatus are provided for a safety relief bypass system for an oil pumping pipeline that provides pressure relief to the pipeline in order to prevent and reduce pipeline rupture. More specifically, the bypass system can include one or more rupture discs having a specific burst pressure that allows fluids under pressure to bypass through alternative pipeline thereby preventing damage to other piping components.
Connection Arrangement
A connection arrangement for filling and draining a liquid includes a sealing element arrangement and a joining arrangement. The sealing element is movable between a closed position and an open position. A filling passage of the connection arrangement is defined by at least one of the sealing element arrangement or the joining arrangement. A draining passage of the connection arrangement is definable by the sealing element arrangement and the joining arrangement, the draining passage being adjustable by moving the sealing element arrangement between the closed position and the open position.
EXPANDABLE HOSE
Provided is a connection assembly for connecting to inner and outer hoses. The connection assembly includes a first connector assembly, a second connector assembly, a first hose connector assembly coupled to the connector assembly and configured to be coupled to the inner and outer hoses, the first hose connector assembly including a first tube connector configured to be coupled to the inner hose and a first collar configured to be coupled to the outer hose, and a second hose connector assembly coupled to the second connector assembly and configured to be coupled to the inner and outer hoses, the second hose connector assembly including a second tube connector configured to be coupled to the inner hose and a second collar configured to be coupled to the outer hose, wherein the second tube connector has a cross-sectional area that is smaller than a cross-sectional area of the first tube connector.
Valve and coupling
A valve and coupling for joining pipe elements has a valve body captured in a central space defined by a plurality of coupling segments attached to one another end to end. The inner surface of the valve body defines a bore. A liner on the inner surface surrounds the bore and forms a seal with a valve closing member. Circumferentially arranged projections on the segments engage and center the valve body within the central space. The liner has lobes that extend axially in opposite directions. The lobes are compressed between the segments and the pipe elements to form a fluid tight seal when connection members are tightened to draw the segments toward the central space and into engagement with the pipe elements.
QUICK CONNECTOR
A quick connector includes a valve body and a rotatable ring fitting over the valve body. The rotatable ring is rotatable with respect to the valve body. When a sealing member of the rotatable ring is rotated to a full open position, an exit end and an entrance end of the valve body are both encompassed by an opening of the sealing member and communicating with each other. When the sealing member is rotated from the full open position to a full close position, one of the exit end and the entrance end is moved out of the opening and blocked by the sealing member, so that the entrance end and the exit end do not communicate with each other.
Modular filter capsule apparatus
Disclosed is a disposable filter capsule apparatus that incorporates integral quick connect components and check valves to facilitate assembly to, and dis-assembly from, larger assemblies and apparatus. The quick connect elements and valves are configured to eliminate the need for auxiliary sealing elements, e.g., o-rings and valve springs so as to prevent unwanted reactions with fluids and/or gases flowing through the capsules, and to further prevent the disposal of expensive re-usable elements in the disposable capsules.
