11708923 · 2023-07-25 · ·

Tubing retention systems are described herein. A tubing retention system includes a spigot, a tubing, and a collar. The spigot includes a spigot body and a spigot extension extending from the spigot body, wherein the spigot extension comprises a flared portion opposite to the spigot body and the spigot body and the spigot extension cooperatively define a spigot lumen. The tubing includes an outer surface and a tubing lumen, wherein a coupling portion of the tubing is disposed around the spigot extension, permitting fluid communication between the tubing lumen and the spigot lumen. The collar is disposed radially around the outer surface of the tubing and axially between the flared portion and the spigot body, wherein the collar radially engages the coupling portion of the tubing disposed around the spigot extension to axially and radially retain the tubing with the spigot.

Quick connect release system for a fluid coupling

A quick connect and disconnect system for a fluid coupling includes an axially extending fitting configured to be secured to a fluid conduit, a clip, and a quick connect and disconnect adaptor. The clip is coupled to the fitting and includes a base, a wing extending from the base, and a first lug extending from the first wing. The quick connect and disconnect adaptor includes a first release tab configured to resiliently deflect through an aperture of the adaptor. The adaptor is configured to transfer a compressive force to resiliently deflect the first lug to move the clip in an axial direction from an installed position to an uninstalled position.

Press fitting device

A press fitting device (1) for establishing a fluid-tight connection with at least one pipe section (10), the press fitting device being configured to generate a sound when a gaseous fluid flows along or through the press fitting device a) in a pre-press fit condition, in which a connection with the at least one pipe section is established and before the connection is press-fit; and/or b) in a press fit condition, in which the connection is press-fit, if the connection is not fluid-tight.

INJECTION MOLDED COLD-EXPANSION COMPRESSION COLLAR

A compression collar is manufactured for use in reinforcing an interference fit between an end of a pipe and a fitting. A precursor form is injection molded using a cold-expansion material. The precursor form has a tubular body with an initially closed axial end and a bore that is initially blind formed in the other axial end. Material is removed from the initially closed axial end of the tubular body of the precursor form to form an opening in the initially closed axial end that connects to the bore thereby forming the compression collar. The opening has an inner periphery with a profile in axial cross section that is different than any profile in axial cross section of an inner periphery of the bore. The collar formed may lack knitlines and may include tabs formed during the removal step which help to position the collar on a pipe.

Connection coupling

A hose arrangement (1) having a hose (2), which has at least one bending portion (3) and at least one plug-on portion (4), and at least one connection element (5) onto which the plug-on portion (4) can be or is plugged in a use position, a minimum inside diameter (6) of a cross section of the at least one bending portion (3) being matched to a minimum inside diameter (7) of a cross section of a connecting portion of the at least one connection element (5) or a minimum inside diameter (6) of a cross section of the at least one bending portion (3) not being greater, in particular being smaller, than a minimum inside diameter (7) of a cross section of a connecting portion of the at least one connection element (5).

Sliding sleeve, sliding sleeve connection and method for producing a sliding sleeve connection

A sliding sleeve for axially sliding onto an expanded end of an all-plastic pipe or a plastic composite pipe, into which is slid a support body having circumferential external ribs of an connecting element is made of an elastically-deformable polymeric material. The internal surface of the sliding sleeve has an average roughness value R.sub.a in a range starting from 1 μm to half of the average wall thickness of the sliding sleeve. In another embodiment, the inner surface of the sliding sleeve has a plurality of macroscopic irregularities, the depth of which does not exceed half of the average wall thickness of the sliding sleeve.

Fluid transfer assembly

A fluid transfer assembly is described that includes a fitting comprising a lumen having an opening, and at least one barb, the at least one barb extending circumferentially around the lumen proximate to the opening. The assembly also includes a flexible conduit, a deformable sleeve, and an elastomeric liner disposed between the sleeve and the conduit. The fitting extends at least partially into the conduit such that the conduit extends over the at least one barb. The elastomeric liner applies substantially 360 degree radial pressure to the conduit such that the conduit is sealingly compressed around the at least one barb of the fitting. The assembly is fluid tight up to a burst pressure of the conduit.
