A coupling apparatus for a corrugated hose, having a receptacle part for receiving the corrugated hose and a locking part, mounted on the receptacle part, for locking the corrugated hose in the coupling apparatus, wherein the locking part has a resiliently deformable engaging element for interlocking engagement in a corrugation of the corrugated hose, the receptacle part having a receptacle region for receiving the engaging element, wherein the coupling apparatus can be brought by means of a movement of the locking part relative to the receptacle part from an unlocked state, in which the engaging element is arranged outside of the receptacle region, into a locked state, in which the engaging element is arranged within the receptacle region such that the receptacle region blocks a movement of the engaging element in a radial direction of the coupling apparatus, and vice versa.

A hand disassembly rotational valve coupling for tool less manipulation by a user's hands and fingers using a coupling housing body defining an output seal aperture close to an output handle retention slot and slot lip, where the slot lip has a slot handle gap and an output seal retainer including a coupling handle ring with a first triangulated offset body retention ears and hand graspable handles separated by a ring handle gap for hand assembly and disassembly from the coupling housing body.

A pipe connector includes a housing body defining an axial bore arranged to receive a pipe section having an end and extending between a housing top and a housing bottom. A sealing member is seated in the axial bore with a conical inner surface configured to interface with the end of the pipe section. A cap member with an opening is threadedly attachable to the housing top. A locking member is carried in the cap member and configured such that the pipe section is only movable through the locking member in a direction toward the sealing member. The locking member drives the pipe section downward along the conical inner surface and creates a fluid tight seal between the sealing member and the pipe section when the cap member is threaded down on the housing top with the end of pipe section engaging the conical inner surface of the sealing member.

A union connection common in connecting pipelines in various industries comprises a threaded female pipe end, a male pipe end insertable into the female pipe end to form a sealed connection, a plurality of shaped ring segments and a threaded collar in which the shaped ring segments are placed in a shaped groove on the male pipe and positioned in the threaded collar. The threaded female pipe end is then threaded onto the threaded collar, the threads each being clocked so as to press the collar against the male pipe using the ring segments and into a sealed connection with the female pipe. A pin inserted through a pin hole in the collar and into a pin recess in the female pipe end holds the parts in place. The pin hole and pin recess are positioned relative to the clocked threads of the collar and female pipe.

A fluid coupler includes a socket including a socket body defining a receptacle for receiving a plug. A snap ring is mounted within the receptacle for retaining the plug within the receptacle. The snap ring is moveable between a constricted state in which the snap ring is adapted to retain the plug within the receptacle and an expanded state in which the plug is removeable from the receptacle. A release sleeve is mounted over the socket body. The release sleeve is moveable between a non-actuated position and an actuated position. The release sleeve is configured to move the snap ring from the constricted state to the expanded state when moved from the non-actuated position to the actuated position.

A quick connector assembly includes a male adapter portion (24) having an end and a groove (62) formed therein spaced from the end. The male adapter portion has a through bore. A female housing portion (22) has a body having a through bore generally concentrically aligned with the male adapter portion through bore. A ring (26) cooperates with the female housing portion and the male adapter portion. The ring is in a first position when the male adapter is engaged with the female housing and a second position, different from the first position, when the male adapter is other than engaged with the female housing. The first and second positions can be visually different from one another.

A compression-type fitting for quick connection of two hoses or hose sections and pipe and hose section in-line is adapted primarily for industrial, heavy duty hoses typically in one to three inches in diameter, although not so limited. A commercial application for which the connector has shown to be particularly useful is in the media blasting industry where hoses are subject to extreme conditions and break or leak after a relatively short period of use, requiring frequent shut down and repair or replacement of the hoses.

A coupling includes a male adapter and a female adapter, and may include a nut and a sleeve. In embodiments, the male adapter includes a male adapter inner diameter, and may include threads. The female adapter includes a female adapter outer diameter. The nut or other formation may be configured to engage at least a portion of the male adapter. In embodiments, one or more contact points may be provided between the female diameter outer diameter and the male adapter inner diameter, and the female adapter outer diameter or the male adapter inner diameter may be configured to be out-of-round. The male adapter may include a shoulder and the sleeve may cover the shoulder in connected configuration. Methods for forming a coupling are also disclosed.

A connector is provided comprising first and second hollow bodies with a fluid transfer member, slidably arranged between the first and second hollow connector bodies.

Component connector for connecting cylindrical components includes an elastic sleeve which surrounds the components, the elastic sleeve can be braced, a radially deformable fixing sleeve is provided which encloses elastic sleeve. Elastic sleeve is braced via radial deformation of fixing sleeve in a perpendicular direction to a longitudinal axis of fixing sleeve, and at least one clamping ring is provided for radially deforming fixing sleeve. Fixing sleeve has a profiled outer wall and clamping ring has an oppositely profiled inner wall so clamping ring can be pushed concentrically onto fixing sleeve in an accurately fitting manner, during a relative rotation of clamping ring, placed in an accurately fitting manner, in a closing direction, the fixing sleeve can be deformed radially inwardly by the surface profiling; and, during a relative rotation of clamping ring counter to the closing direction, the surface profiling prevents any rotation.
