Fire-suppression water-intake valve, fire-suppression sprinkler head configured for rapid installation in, and rapid removal from, the water-intake valve without the need to interrupt the water supply, and related systems and methods
An embodiment of a fire-suppression water-intake valve includes a receptacle and a valve assembly. The receptacle is configured to receive a sprinkler head. And the valve assembly is configured to close in response to removing a sprinkler head from the receptacle, and is configured to open in response to installing a sprinkler head in the receptacle. Such a fire-suppression water-intake valve can allow quick and easy removal and installation of a fire-suppression sprinkler head without shutting a water supply to the valve.
PIPE COUPLING
A female pipe coupling member includes a coupling body and a sleeve 138 disposed around a cylindrical peripheral wall portion of the coupling body. The sleeve has a locking element receiving hole extending therethrough from an inner peripheral surface to an outer peripheral surface. When the sleeve is in a locking element releasing position where the locking element receiving hole radially aligns with a locking element, the locking element is received in the locking element receiving hole to assume an unlocking position. The locking element receiving hole is configured to block the locking element from passing therethrough radially outward and thus holds the locking element in the unlocking position from outside.
Anti-freezing water valve configured for underground (buried) use and with optional anti-siphon assembly, and water-valve accessories
An embodiment of a fluid valve includes a substantially flat face plate, a receptacle, a cavity, and a drain assembly. The receptacle is disposed in the face plate and has at least one protrusion each configured to engage a respective one of at least one groove of a valve-opening-and-fluid-dispensing device. The cavity has a top end in fluid communication with the receptacle, and has a bottom end. And the drain assembly has a top end in fluid communication with the bottom end of the cavity, has a bottom end, and is configured to allow fluid to drain from the cavity in response to the valve-opening-and-fluid-dispensing device being absent from the receptacle.
Device for supplying pressurized fluid, and pressurized fluid cylinder(s) comprising such a device
Device for supplying pressurized fluid, including a first valve housing an internal fluid circuit, the device including a second valve having an internal circuit and forming a physical entity distinct from the first valve. The first and the second valve including respective coupling members forming a detachable male/female quick-connection system for the second valve on the first valve. The two valves being configured such as to place their internal circuits in communication when the second valve is coupled to the first valve via the quick-connection system.
SPRAYGUN WITH BUILT-IN QUICK-FIT CONNECTOR
A spray gun and a detachable liquid reservoir releasably attached to the spray gun by engagement of mateable, non-threaded formations provided on the spray gun and the reservoir. The spray gun has an integral connector boss with a socket for reception of a connector tube of the reservoir. The boss has an external flange at the distal end and the reservoir has hook members separate from the connector tube. The hook members are co-operable with the flange when the connector tube is received in the socket to secure releasably the reservoir to the spray gun. In another arrangement, the connector tube is an interference friction-fit in the socket to secure releasably the reservoir to the spray gun. In yet another arrangement, the connector tube has bayonet lugs co-operable with bayonet grooves in the wall of the socket when the connector tube is received in the socket to secure releasably the reservoir to the spray gun. In a still further arrangement, the reservoir has an integral spout received in the socket integral with the spray gun and provided with a helical projection co-operable with the underside of a radial lug externally of the socket to secure the reservoir.
QUICK CONNECT COUPLING DEVICES FOR FLUID CARRIERS
A coupling device is provided for mounting on a bib of a faucet to releasably secure a hose or some other component to the bib. The coupling device includes an engagement surface, a gasket ring, a clamp assembly and a locking assembly. The coupling device is configured so that the clamp assembly can be actuated to mount the coupling device on the bib. The gasket ring is configured to be compressed between the engagement surface and the bib to enable liquid to flow from the bib into the coupling device and out of it into the hose or other component without leakage. The locking assembly is configured to lock the coupling device on the bib, but is releasable when desired to dismount the coupling device from the bib.
High temperature leak prevention for piping components and connections
A connection socket for a tubular connection that includes: a socket cup having a metal alloy composition and a sealing portion, the sealing portion comprises a primary and a secondary sealing recess; a primary seal positioned within the primary sealing recess, the primary seal comprising an elastomeric material having a service temperature, and a secondary seal positioned within the secondary sealing recess, the secondary seal comprising a metal composition. Further, the secondary seal has a melting temperature at or above the service temperature of the primary seal.
Quick connect coupling with verifier
A quick connect coupling having a female part with a throughbore for receiving a tube having an annular extending bead. A latch is supported in the female part in communication with the throughbore. A verifier is provided in stacked arrangement with the latch. Insertion of the tube results in extending sides of the latch expanding outwardly and likewise expanding the extending sides of the verifier. Upon passage of the bead past the latch, the latch seating in the engaged position, with the verifier held open by alignment with the annular bead. The verifier subsequently being displaced to a fully engaged position to indicate that the fluid coupling is fluidly and fully connected.
