PLUMBING FITTING
A plumbing fitting for selectively allowing the passage of a fluid therethrough includes an elongate body with a first open end and a second open end, with a passageway providing for fluid communication between the first open end and the second open end, where at least one of the first open end and/or the second open end include a connection arrangement for connection with a further plumbing fitting or fixture, and a valve for selectively sealing or unsealing the passageway to allow for a flow of fluid between each of the open ends, with the valve being operable from the first open end or the second open end.

Fluid connector
An example fitting includes: a fitting body having counterbore, where the counterbore defines an annular shoulder within tire fitting body: a spring having a first end interfacing with the annular shoulder of the counterbore; and a seal carrier having: (i) a first end face interfacing with a second end of the spring, (ii) a second end face configured to interface with an internal surface of a port, such that the spring is configured to apply a biasing force on the seal carrier toward the internal surface of the port, (iii) a first annular groove on an exterior peripheral surface of the seal carrier, where the first annular groove is configured to have a radial seal disposed therein, and (iv) a second annular groove in the second end face, where the second annular groove is configured to have a face seal disposed therein.

CONNECTOR
A connector includes a connector body having a hollow channel, and a retainer configured to prevent a pipe inserted into the hollow channel from being removed using a stopper piece. The retainer body lies along the outer peripheral surface of the retainer attachment portion. A bearing allows the retainer body to rotate from a temporary locking position to a main locking position. A detection piece passes through a detection hole and projects into the hollow channel when located in the temporary locked position, so as to be pushed in an axial direction by a bulge of the pipe. An inclined surface of the detection piece inclines with respect to the axial direction such that a pushing force can be converted to a radially outward force. A first energy conversion mechanism serves to convert the energy converted by the inclined surface to the rotational energy in the locking direction.

Grooved forged carbon steel fitting apparatus and methods of manufacturing the same
Roll grooved pipe fittings useful in the assembly of a variety of mechanically joined piping systems. These pipe fittings are roll grooved so that they can be mechanically joined directly with other like pipe fittings and/or with roll grooved straight pipe thereby substantially simplifying assembly. In addition, hybrid pipe fittings and systems are also disclosed. Methods and apparatus for manufacturing these aforementioned roll grooved pipe fittings are also disclosed and address both the roll grooving process itself, as well as various methodology and apparatus for correcting deformations that can occur as a result of the roll grooving process. Methods for using the aforementioned apparatus are also disclosed.
