CONDUIT SECURITY TECHNIQUES
A conduit locking device includes a housing having a first end, a second end, and a sidewall disposed between the first end and the second end. The conduit locking device may further include a slide engaged with the sidewall of the housing, the slide including an extension arm and an end portion structurally configured to engage with an inner wall of a conduit. The slide may be extendable via the extension arm from a first position substantially adjacent to the sidewall of the housing to a second position disposed away from the sidewall of the housing, where, when in the second position, the slide is configured to retain the conduit locking device at a fixed position within the conduit through the engagement of the end portion with the inner wall of the conduit.
Methods, systems, and apparatus for use in main pipes connected to branch conduit
A pipe rehabilitation system and/or robot can be used inside a pipe to measure characteristics of branch conduits, install plugs into branch conduits before the pipe is lined with a liner, remove portions of plugs and liners after lining to restore fluid communication between the pipe and branch conduits, and/or install fittings into the branch conduits to connect the liner to the branch conduits. A probe can measure characteristics of a branch conduit. A tool can install plugs and/or fittings into the branch conduits. A linkage can connect a tool to a robotic tractor so that the connected elements can navigate through a main pipe. A visualization system can aid in aligning a robot with a branch conduit. Height-adjustable braces can support robotic tools in a pipe. A plug can include integrated locating features and/or movable parts that enable expanding the plug to seal with the branch conduit.

Flow stopping tool for pipelines
A flow stopping tool for pipelines is disclosed, wherein the flow stopping tool comprises an inflatable balloon-like element that is in connection to a pressure rod. A hose is used for inflating the balloon-like element with a gas or a fluid, such that the balloon-like element can block a flow in a pipeline. A first end of the hose is in connection to the pressure rod and a second end of the hose is in connection to the balloon-like element. A part connecting the hose with the inflatable balloon-like element, but outside said balloon-like element, comprises a shock absorber for securing the hose-balloon connection.
Trenchless rehabilitation system for deformation of large diameter HDPE pipelines and method thereof
The application provides a system comprising a water blocking device, a support structure, an injection machine, a resin impregnated lining hose and a light curing machine. The water blocking device blocks water and creates space for repairing. The support structure jacks up the deformation of pipelines. The injection machine injects polymer into the gap between the support structure and the HDPE pipes and the defective soil. A resin impregnated lining hose is inflated to attach to the support structure before being cured by UV lights. A CIPP (Cured-in-place pipe) liner is formed. The application carries out the trenchless rehabilitation of deformation of HDPE pipelines by integrating the method of the lining steel ring supporting, polymer injection and CIPP process. The defective soils are stabilized and further defects after repairing is avoided. The application is advantageous to the trenchless rehabilitation for double wall corrugated pipeline (diameter over 800 mm).
Systems, compositions and methods for curing leakages in pipes
The present invention provides a method for sealing a leakage at a remote site in a pipe, the method including introducing a fluid carrier composition including a hardener, a resin and at least one of a multiplicity of plugging devices and a multiplicity of cut fibers into the pipe at the first site under pressure and allowing the fluid carrier to transport the at least one of the multiplicity devices and the multiplicity of fibers to the remote site, wherein the at least of the multiplicity of devices and the multiplicity of the cut fibers penetrates the leakage thereby sealing and curing the leakage.
