RESPIRATORY GAS HOSE SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING A RESPIRATORY GAS
A flexible respiratory gas tube arrangement for supplying a respiratory gas to a person includes a flexible tube, a heater to heat the gas as it is delivered through the tube, a first connector provided to one end of the tube and adapted to connect the tube with a breathing mask, and a second connector provided to the other end of the tube and adapted to connect the tube with a CPAP device. The second connector includes a first portion that provides a respiratory gas passage and a second portion that provides integrated contact elements by which power is supplied to the heater. The contact elements are adapted to be engaged with a power supply provided on the CPAP device for supplying power to said heater.
HEAT SHIELD AND PART SHIELDED WITH SUCH A HEAT SHIELD
The present invention relates to a heat shield for shielding of hot areas, such as hot areas of a combustion engine as well as a part that is shielded with such a heat shield. The heat shield for shielding of hot areas, e. g. of a combustion engine, with at least one metal sheet layer, characterized in that the insulating layer comprises a metallic grid, which is embedded into a fiber mat.
Pipe compression equipment
A system for compressing and packing pipe insulation includes a compression member that is movable along a first axis to compress pieces of pipe insulation. A stacking bay includes opposing walls that are spaced apart from one another. At least one of the two opposing walls is movable relative to the other of the two opposing walls along a second axis to adjust a lateral distance between the opposing walls to accommodate an increasing size of the pieces of pipe insulation along the second axis. The first axis is generally orthogonal to the second axis. A packing member that applies a force along a third axis to the pieces of pipe insulation after being compressed. The third axis is generally orthogonal to the first and second axes. The first axis is generally orthogonal to the second axis. The compression member is aligned with a space formed between the opposing walls.
SMART SUBSEA PIPELINE
Pipeline segments can contain cables, such as communication cables (e.g., fiber optic cables) within insulation material surrounding the pipeline segments. Cables can be embedded within the insulation material, run through conduits embedded within the insulation material, placed in channels formed in the insulation material, or otherwise. Channels containing one or more cables can be filled with supplemental insulation material, thus securing the cables within the channels. Pipelines created as disclosed herein can enable data transfer between distant points without the need to lay fiber optic cable in addition to the pipeline. Further, fiber optic cable embedded thusly can be used to sense conditions in the pipeline, such as leaks, seismic activity, strain, and temperature information.
FABRIC JACKET TO PREVENT NONMETALLIC EQUIPMENT FROM EXTREME HEAT, EXTERNAL DAMAGE AND FIRE
A protective fabric jacket for placement on an object to be protected from excessive heat includes a first layer; a second layer; and an intermediate spacer fabric layer that is disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The first and second layers are attached to the intermediate spacer fabric layer to form a layered structure. The intermediate spacer fabric layer comprises a flexible honeycomb or octagonal shaped spacer fabric that has a plurality of cells defined therein. The protective fabric jacket also includes a settable material that disposed within the cells and includes a cementitious mixture and one or more organic polymers and is settable to a hardened material.
High temperature protection wrap for plastic pipes and pipe appliances
A concentric, multi-layer laminated wrap for protection of plastic pipes including up to 60-minute fire endurance, low flame spread, low smoke, and toxic products of combustion. The laminated wrap can withstand temperatures up to 2000° F. for up to a period of 60 minutes. The concentric laminated wrap includes an inner support layer that provides strength, an intermediate fire protective coating layer that provides fire, heat, and high temperature protection, and an outer top coating layer that provides resistance to abrasion, impact, and environmental factors including water, salt water, hydrocarbons, chemicals, and gases. The protection to plastic pipes and pipe appliances is provided by the fire protective coating layer that is applied directly to the pipe or as a layer in the laminated wrap around the pipe. The present invention is disclosed for fire, heat, and high temperature protection of pipes, including linear pipes and pipe appliances such as flanges, couplings, valves, joints, tees, and bends.
Insulating Sleeves for Heat Emitters
Provided are thermal insulation components, the thermal insulation component extending in the direction of a major axis and the thermal insulation component comprising: an inner wall, the inner wall defining a lumen therein, the lumen having a centerline; an outer wall, the outer wall encircling the inner wall, the outer wall having a plurality of corrugations, the inner wall and the outer wall defining an insulating space therebetween, the insulating space optionally being evacuated; and at least one engagement feature configured to secure the component to an outlet, the engagement feature being arranged such that a line extending radially outward from the centerline of the lumen passes through the engagement feature without passing through the insulating space. Also provided are related methods.
Pipe Support Clamp
A support clamp is provided for supporting an elongate object. The support clamp can include a clamp body that forms a cylindrical sleeve and a collar that extends radially inwardly from the cylindrical sleeve to provide an internal passageway sized to receive the elongate object. The clamp body can include first and second clamp sections that can each have, respectively, a sleeve wall that forms part of the cylindrical sleeve and a collar wall that forms part of the collar and includes an edge that extends radially between the sleeve wall and the internal passage. The edge of the first clamp section can include a channel profile, and the edge of the second clamp section can include a protruding profile. The protruding profile can be received into the channel profile to removably secure the first and second clamp sections together.
Tension fit insulation
An exemplary insulator for a flue of a residential oven includes a bendable insulating body having a first end, a second end, and a bending portion. A first cut is disposed between the bending portion and the first end and a second cut is disposed between the bending portion and the second end. The first cut is expandable to form a first opening and the second cut is expandable to form a second opening.
Insulating inserts for field joints of coated rigid pipelines
An insulating insert is positioned around a field joint of a pipeline to insulate the field joint. The insert comprises a longitudinal series of annular or part-annular filler segments of insulating material, curved about a longitudinal axis, that are each joined to one or more adjacent segments of the series by at least one link. The links may be webs, rods or articulated links. The links are flexible relative to the segments to facilitate bending of the insert along its length by enabling relative angular displacement between adjacent segments of the series.
