Fluid coupling
A fluid coupling includes a first adapter, a second adapter, an inner sleeve connected to the first adapter and the second adapter, a nut connected to the first adapter and the second adapter, a sealing member connected to one of the first adapter and the second adapter, and/or an outer sleeve connected to the nut. The outer sleeve may include a chamber provided between an inner wall of the outer sleeve and an outer wall of the outer sleeve.
THERMALLY INSULATED TRANSFER LINE WITH COUPLING ELEMENT
A thermally insulated transfer line for a deep-cooled fluid. The thermally insulated transfer line includes a process line for conduction of the fluid; an insulation envelope lying radially outside the process line and extending in a longitudinal direction of the process line; an insulation space arranged between the process line and the insulation envelope; and a coupling element provided at both ends of the thermally insulated transfer line, to connect the transfer line to a cryogenic tank, the coupling element being operable to attach the process line to a tank process line of the cryogenic tank and thereby establish a fluid-conductive connection between the process line and the tank process line. The coupling element includes an end piece, wherein the insulation envelope transforms into the end piece, and a connecting sleeve arranged concentric to and radially on an outside of the end piece so as to be attached to the end piece. The thermally insulated transfer line also includes a sliding coupling sleeve operable to connect the connecting sleeve to the cryogenic tank.
THERMALLY INSULATED TRANSFER LINE
A thermally insulated transfer line for a deep-cooled fluid. The thermally insulated transfer line includes a process line for conduction of the deep-cooled fluid, an insulation envelope lying radially outside the process line and extending in a longitudinal direction of the process line, and an insulation space between the process line and the insulation envelope. The process line and the insulation envelope, at least in portions along a length in a longitudinal direction of the thermally insulated transfer line, have a U-shape, or a V-shape, or meandering form, or a helical form.
CONNECTION
A system for making a connection between a first tubular member and a second tubular member having coincident bores for conveying a fluid, the connection having an axis in the general direction of flow of said fluid therethrough, the system comprising a connection (1) and a tensioning tool (100), the connection having a first tubular end (6) comprising a first end flange (16) having an end face (17) and a collar (20) comprising a sleeve (21) and an end stop (30) fixed to the sleeve (21), said sleeve (21) arranged about said flange (18) and said end stop (30) arranged about said tubular end (6), said collar (20) slideable along said tubular end (6), the connection further having a second tubular end (7) comprising a second end flange (43) having an end face (45) and a locking nut (50) about and slideable along said first tubular end (7), the tensioning tool (100) for applying axial tension to said collar (30) relative to said second tubular end (7) characterised in that at least one of said sleeve (20) and said second tubular end (7) has a set of parallel circumferential grooves (23,47) therein and said tensioning tool (100) has a set of ridges (142), the system comprising the steps of moving said set of ridges (142) into said set of grooves (23,47) and applying an axial tension to said collar (20) relative to said second tubular end (7).
FLUID COUPLING AND SLEEVE THEREFOR
A fluid coupling includes a first coupling member, a second coupling member configured for connection with the first coupling member, and a sleeve disposed at least partially around the first coupling member and/or the second coupling member. In embodiments, the sleeve may include a first flame-retardant layer, a second flame-retardant layer, a third flame-retardant layer, and at least one reinforcement of a non-rubber, rigid material.
Multi-part line having an insulating element for insulating a transition region between connector assemblies
A multi-part line, wherein line parts are provided, at ends of said line parts, with at least one connector assembly having at least one retaining element, wherein a connector part of the connector assembly of a line part and a coupling part of the connector assembly of the adjacent line part can be or are connected by overplugging and locking the at least one retaining element. At least one insulating element is arranged in the overplugging region of the connector part of the connector assemblies that can be or are connected to each other, which insulating element is designed as an axially compressible closed ring made of a material that has low heat conduction at least in the outer region of the insulating element, which ring has an inner passage opening in order provide insulation in the overplugging regions between the connector assemblies, in which overplugging regions no heating by, for example, the engine of a vehicle or other heat sources occurs, which insulation enables economical and also effective insulation during the operation and also during the standstill of a vehicle and is protected against unintentional or inadvertent removal.
FLUID COUPLING
A fluid coupling includes a first adapter, a second adapter, an inner sleeve connected to the first adapter and the second adapter, a nut connected to the first adapter and the second adapter, a sealing member connected to one of the first adapter and the second adapter, and/or an outer sleeve connected to the nut. The outer sleeve may include a chamber provided between an inner wall of the outer sleeve and an outer wall of the outer sleeve.
Pipe connection for conducting a fluid that is under pressure
A pipe connection for conducting a fluid that is under pressure is provided, having two tubular connection parts for a conical clamping connection, which are screwed together by a union nut while one is inserted in the other, wherein each connection part has a conical sealing surface that contacts the other in a sealing manner and wherein an annular groove is provided in one of the sealing surfaces. In order to enable the pipe connection also to conduct a fluid having cycling or varying temperature, the inner of the two connection parts has thermal insulation on the inside of the pipe at least in the axial segment of the sealing surface of the connection part, wherein the thermal insulation tube has a cam or a collar on the outer surface, which engages in a recess, which is axially bounded by the two connection parts.
