LUBRICATION AND FLUSHING OF A FLUID SEAL USED WITH REACTIVE MATERIALS
A pump system includes a housing, a lubricant system, and control circuitry. The housing includes a pump chamber defined by the housing and a throat seal. The lubricant system includes a lubricant pump, a lubricant gallery defined within the housing of the main pump, and a lubricant circuit fluidly connecting the lubricant pump and the lubricant gallery. The throat seal is disposed adjacent to and between the pump chamber and the lubricant gallery. The control circuitry is configured to cause the lubricant pump to pump a purge volume of lubricant through the lubricant system, cause the lubricant pump to stop pumping for a first time period after the lubricant pump has pumped the purge volume, and cause the lubricant pump to pump the purge volume of lubricant through the lubricant system after the first time period.
FLUSHING METHOD FOR LUBRICATING OIL SYSTEM, FLUSHING APPARATUS, AND FLUSHING SYSTEM
A flushing method for a lubricating oil system includes a step of performing precedent inside oil flushing for bearing box, by connecting an oil supply pipe and a flushing apparatus mounted to a bearing box to each other by a bypass pipe while bypassing an internal pipe that is provided in the bearing box and introduces an oil supplied from the oil supply pipe to a part between a rotor of a turbine and a bearing, supplying the oil from the oil supply pipe to the flushing apparatus through the bypass pipe, and injecting the oil from the flushing apparatus into the bearing box, to thereby perform oil flushing for the inside of the bearing box; and a final oil flushing step of supplying the oil from the oil supply pipe to an internal pipe, to thereby perform oil flushing for the inside of the lubricating oil system, after the step of performing precedent inside oil flushing for bearing box.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FLUSHING CONTAMINANTS FROM A CONTAINER OF FLUIDS
A contaminant-flushing machine for removing contaminants from a container, such as an engine transmission, air-conditioner coil, or transmission cooler, which includes hoses for coupling to the transmission cooler and a pump for circulating fluid through the hoses and the transmission cooler, the flushing machine being configured to terminate all circulating of fluid when a pressure drop is detected during times when the fluid is circulating only in the primary flow direction, but not when the flow direction is being reversed.
Apparatus and method for engine cleaning
An apparatus configured to perform a static and a dynamic cleaning of an engine at the same time or separately, as well as to back-flush the oil pump screen of the engine, air purging the engine and prime the engine with oil before filling the engine with the required oil amount. The apparatus has a holding tank for storing a cleaning solution, a pump, an oil drain adapter configured to connect the apparatus to the oil drain of the engine, a transfer tank and an oil filter adapter connected to a first and a second conduit. The pump is selectively in fluid communication with the holding tank, to pump the cleaning solution from the holding tank into the engine, and with the oil drain to draw the cleaning solution out of the engine.
DRAINAGE SYSTEM
A drainage system for draining fluid from a liquid storage tank and a method of draining a liquid storage tank using the drainage system, the drainage system comprising: a first conduit configured to fluidly connect to a liquid storage tank; a plurality of second conduits, each second conduit being fluidly connected to a measuring tank configured to hold liquid drained from the liquid storage tank; a multiway valve comprising: a first passage fluidly connected to the first conduit; a plurality of second passages, each second passage being fluidly connected to one of the plurality of second conduits; and a controllable shutter configured to selectively direct fluid between the first passage and the plurality of second passages; and a pump arranged to pump fluid through the first conduit.

PRESSURE EXCHANGERS WITH FOULING AND PARTICLE HANDLING CAPABILITIES
A system includes a pressure exchanger and one or more valves. The pressure exchanger includes a rotor that is configured to exchange pressure between a first fluid and a second fluid. The pressure exchanger further includes a housing disposed around the rotor, one or more flushing inlets coupled to the housing, and one or more flushing outlets coupled to the housing. The one or more first valves are coupled to the one or more flushing outlets. The one or more first valves in an open position are associated with a flushing operation. The one or more first valves in a closed position are associated with a lubrication operation.
