Control method and control unit for a DC pump motor
A method for controlling a DC pump motor, preferably a brushed DC motor for pumping lubricant, which motor is controlled by a pulse-width modulated (PWM) control signal, wherein current parameters are acquired in an acquisition step and a duty cycle (D) of the PWM control signal (S.sub.PWM) is adapted and/or changed on the basis of the detected parameters in an adaptation step, wherein the acquisition of current parameters comprises at least the acquisition of a current input voltage (U.sub.B).
Lubrication distribution assembly
A lubrication distribution assembly is provided. The lubrication distribution assembly includes a lubrication metering device, which includes a piston. The lubrication distribution assembly also includes a sensor and a controller. The sensor automatically detects a piston stroke length of the piston over at least two movement cycles of the piston. The controller receives the piston stroke length from the sensor, sets an operating point of the piston based on the piston stroke length, and controls the lubrication metering device by utilizing the set operating point.
Bearing lubricator, controller and associated method
A bearing lubricator for lubricating a plurality of device bearings in a device includes a solitary monitored bearing and at least one unmonitored bearing. The bearing lubricator includes a reservoir configured to contain lubricant, a plurality of conduits connecting the reservoir to the plurality of bearing, and a mechanism connected to the reservoir for advancing the lubricant from the reservoir to the plurality of device bearings when actuated. The bearing lubricator further includes a solitary sensor for sensing a variable of the monitored bearing and a controller. The controller stores a triggering value of the variable of the monitored bearing. The mechanism advances a substantially identical quantity of the lubricant from the reservoir to each of the plurality of bearings when a signal indicative of the variable is advanced to the controller and when that signal indicates the triggering value of the variable has been met.
GREASE GUN
A grease gun comprising a body having first and second chambers, first and second pistons within those first and second chambers, primary and secondary grease channels, a grease outlet and an actuator, is provided. Actuation of the actuator by a user causes first and second pistons to move within first and second chambers. The body may further comprise a pressure sensitive spool which allows the grease gun to move from a high flow/low pressure operation to a high pressure/low flow operation when there is a grease blockage that causes an increase in the pressure in the body.
System for Providing Lubrication to a Machine
A system for providing lubrication to a machine. The system comprises at least one ultrasound sensor positioned to detect sound emanating from at least one lubrication point of the machine, and at least one auto-lubrication device configured to provide lubrication to the at least one lubrication point. The at least one auto-lubrication device is controlled to provide lubrication to the at least one lubrication point based at least in part on sound detection data from the at least one ultrasound sensor.
LUBRICANT DISPENSER SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A fitting for a lubrication point of a device to be lubricated and a connector for removably connecting to such fitting to provide a lubricant from a lubrication device via the fitting to the device to be lubricated are disclosed. The fitting comprises an integrated circuit for providing an identification code to identify the fitting, and a first electrical contact for establishing an electrical path between the integrated circuit and a processor of the connector when a connection between the fitting and the connector is established. The connector comprises the processor and a second electrical contact for establishing the electrical path. The integrated circuit is adapted for transmitting data, including the identification code, via the first electrical contact to the processor.
BEARING LUBRICATOR, CONTROLLER AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
A bearing lubricator for lubricating a lubricated bearing is provided. The bearing lubricator includes a reservoir configured to contain lubricant, a bearing lubricator for lubricating a lubricated bearing, a conduit connected to the reservoir and to the bearing; and mechanism and a controller. The mechanism is operably connected to at least one of reservoir and the conduit. The mechanism is adapted to advance the lubricant from the reservoir to the conduit when actuated. The controller stores a triggering value of a parameter. The controller is further adapted to actuate the mechanism when a signal indicative of the triggering value is advanced toward the controller. The bearing lubricator also includes a sensor operably connected to the controller. The sensor is adapted to measure a parameter of a measured bearing and to send a signal to the controller indicative of the value of the parameter.
Lubrication liquid delivery methods and apparatus
Disclosed is a method for delivering a lubrication liquid to a machine in a terminating liquid lubrication system. A machine and a cartridge containing a lubrication liquid are connected to each other so that the lubrication liquid is supplied to the machine. Some embodiments may include a monitoring system, a backup source of lubrication liquid, and/or a second cartridge that automatically provides lubrication liquid to the machine when the cartridge is empty.
OIL MAINTENANCE STRATEGY FOR ELECTRIFIED VEHICLES
A method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, selectively powering a heating device to augment heating of an engine oil associated with an engine of a vehicle in a manner that influences an oil quality value of the engine oil.
COOLING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a cooling system and method of a HEV for cooling an engine clutch and a motor in a HEV, and includes an EOP for pumping oil from an oil pan, a flow regulating valve for adjusting a coolant amount supplied to an engine clutch and a motor in the EOP, and a controller that determines whether to adjust a coolant amount based on a temperature of the engine clutch and a temperature of the motor, accelerates a motor of the EOP based on at least one of an ATF temperature, an engine clutch temperature, a motor temperature, or a TMM control mode, and controls the flow regulating valve depending on a motor speed of the EOP to adjust the coolant amount supplied to from the EOP the engine clutch and the motor.
