A plastic tank liner for the storage of a pressurized fluid includes: two ends; two elongated cylindrical sections, the two cylindrical sections having different diameters; and one connecting section connecting the two cylindrical sections. The connecting section has a concave portion connected to the cylindrical section of smaller diameter, and a convex portion adjacent to the cylindrical section of larger diameter. The convex portion has an isotensoid shape. Two convex domes are located on both ends of the plastic tank liner so that each of the domes is connected to a different cylindrical section.
Liner configuring member, high pressure tank, and method of manufacturing same
A liner configuring member configuring a liner includes a main body section which is configured from a resin material and has both ends opened. That is, both ends of the main body section are, respectively, a first open end and a second open end. There is provided in a vicinity of the first open end a first flange section where a first annular recess is formed by a first bottom section and a first side section. On the other hand, there is provided in a vicinity of the second open end a second flange section where a second annular recess is formed by a second bottom section and a second side section.
Pressure vessel
A pressure vessel includes: a liner made of a resin and configured to store a pressurized fluid; and a reinforcing layer made of a fiber-reinforced resin provided around an outer peripheral surface of the liner. The liner includes a body portion having a tubular shape and a pair of side-end portions each having a domical shape. One of the side-end portions extends continuously from one of two ends of the body portion, and the other one of the side-end portions extends continuously from the other one of the two ends of the body portion. The liner includes a restriction portion provided at a center of the liner in an axial direction of the body portion. The restriction portion is configured to restrict displacement of the reinforcing layer in the axial direction.
Compressed gas storage unit
Embodiments of the present invention relate to compressed gas storage units, which in certain applications may be employed in conjunction with energy storage systems. Some embodiments may comprise one or more blow-molded polymer shells, formed for example from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). Embodiments of compressed gas storage units may be composite in nature, for example comprising carbon fiber filament(s) wound with a resin over a liner. A compressed gas storage unit may further include a heat exchanger element comprising a heat pipe or apparatus configured to introduce liquid directly into the storage unit for heat exchange with the compressed gas present therein.
HIGH-PRESSURE TANK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HIGH-PRESSURE TANK
A high-pressure tank which is capable of improving the strength of a connecting part between a cylindrical part and a dome part is provided. A high-pressure tank 10 according to the present invention comprises: a liner 20 having a cylindrically-shaped cylindrical part 20a and hemispherically-shaped dome parts 20b which are continuous with both ends of the cylindrical part 20a; and a reinforcing layer 30 including a fiber bundle which is hoop-wound around the cylindrical part 20a of the liner 20 and a fiber bundle which is helically wound around the dome parts 20b thereof. An outer diameter of the end of the cylindrical part 20a is smaller than an outer diameter of a portion of the cylindrical part 20a which excludes the end.
VACUUM HEAT-INSULATING MATERIAL, AND HEAT-INSULATING CONTAINER, DWELLING WALL, TRANSPORT MACHINE, HYDROGEN TRANSPORT TANKER, AND LNG TRANSPORT TANKER EQUIPPED WITH VACUUM HEAT-INSULATING MATERIAL
A vacuum heat-insulating material includes: an outer cover material; and a core material which is sealed in a tightly closed and decompressed state on the inside of the outer cover material. Outer cover material has gas barrier properties and satisfies at least one of a condition that a linear expansion coefficient is 80×10.sup.−5/° C. or lower when a static load is 0.05 N within a temperature range of −130° C. to 80° C., inclusive, a condition that an average value of a linear expansion coefficient is 65×10.sup.−5/° C. or higher when a static load is 0.4 N within a temperature range of −140° C. to −130° C., inclusive, a condition that an average value of a linear expansion coefficient is 20×10.sup.−5/° C. or higher when a static load is 0.4 N within a temperature range of −140° C. to −110° C., inclusive, and a condition that an average value of a linear expansion coefficient is 13×10.sup.−5/° C. or higher when a static load is 0.4 N within a temperature range of +50° C. to +65° C., inclusive.
