METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTAINING A SMALL ATOMIC STRUCTURE GAS
In a hydrogen or helium container and method for containing the gas, a double-walled housing is provided, which defines an inter-space between the inner and the outer walls, the inter-space being filled with a fluid at a higher pressure than the pressure of the hydrogen or helium contained within the inner wall.
DEVICE FOR STORING AND TRANSPORTING LIQUEFIED GAS
A device for storing and transporting liquefied gas, including a first inner reservoir extending in a longitudinal direction, a second outer reservoir, the device having a system for holding the first reservoir in the second reservoir having a first rigid connection between the first reservoir) and the second reservoir at a first longitudinal end, and, at a second longitudinal end of the device, a mechanism for suspending the first reservoir inside the second reservoir having an assembly of tie rods, a first end of the tie rods being attached to a sheath that is secured to the first reservoir via a washer(s) and nut assembly, these being fitted around the tie rod, a second end of the tie rods being attached to a sheath that is secured to the second reservoir via a washer(s) and nut assembly.
Suspension system for an inner container mounted for thermal insulation in an outer container and container arrangement
Suspension system for an inner container mounted for thermal insulation in an outer container. Rod-shaped fixed bearing securing elements of a fixed bearing system engage the outer container and the inner container and can be stressed in tension and compression. Fixed bearing securing elements engage the inner container while being arranged so as to be distributed in an annular installation space between the inner container and outer container, and they engage the outer container while being distributed in the annular installation space. A floating bearing system with a floating bearing ring and annularly distributed floating bearing securing elements can be arranged in the outer container to support the inner container. The floating bearing securing elements can be stressed in tension by tension springs and/or in compression by compression springs and engage the floating bearing ring and the inner container or the outer container.
CRYOSTAT FOR SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET SYSTEM
A cryostat for a superconducting magnet system is provided. The cryostat may include an outer vessel and an inner vessel suspended within the outer vessel. A space may be defined by the outer vessel and the inner vessel. The cryostat may include multiple first support elements and one or more second support elements. The strength of the first supporting element may be larger than that of the second support elements. The inner vessel and the outer vessel may be connected by two opposite ends of a first support element and two opposite ends of a second support element, respectively. The number of the first support elements in the lower part of the space is different from the number of the first support elements in the upper part of the space.
HYDROGEN FUEL STORAGE AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
A fuel delivery and storage system is provided. A further aspect employs a remote central controller and/or software instructions which receive sensor data from stationary and bulk fuel storage tanks, portable distribution tanks, and end use tanks. Another aspect of the present system senses and transmits tank or hydrogen fuel characteristics including temperature, pressure, filled volume, contaminants, refilling cycle life and environmental hazards. Still another aspect includes a group of hydrogen fuel tanks which is pre-assembled with sensor, valve, microprocessor and transmitter components, at least some of which are within an insulator.
DEVICE FOR STORING CRYOGENIC FLUID AND VEHICLE COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE
A device for storing cryogenic fluid including a sealed internal shell delimiting the storage volume for the cryogenic fluid, a thermal insulation layer disposed around the internal shell, and a sealed external shell disposed around the insulation layer. The space between the internal shell and the external shell being under vacuum, the external shell resting on the periphery of the thermal insulation layer, and the thermal insulation layer having an insulating material of the “pressure-responsive” type. Also including a protective shell disposed around the external shell, and at least one supporting component having an end connected rigidly to the internal shell and a second end rigidly connected to the protective shell such that such that the assembly having the internal shell. The external shell and the thermal insulation layer under vacuum is suspended in the protective shell via the at least one supporting component.
TANK COMPRISING INNER AND OUTER CHAMBERS AND AT LEAST ONE LINK SYSTEM WITH FLEXIBLE RADIAL BLADES LINKING SAID CHAMBERS
A double-walled tank including at least one link system linking the outer and inner chambers of the tank and including a central part linked to the inner chamber and at least three blades distributed around the central part, each blade extending between a first end linked to the central part and a second end which has a head linked to the outer chamber, each blade being sufficiently flexible to be deformed elastically between its first and second ends in a direction of displacement.
PRISMATIC LIQUID HYDROGEN TANK
A prismatic tank for the containment of liquefied gas. The tank is formed of extruded materials and comprises an outer insulation layer.
STORAGE TANK
The present invention relates to a storage tank for liquid hydrogen, comprising a wall, a base, which closes the wall at the end face on one side, a top, which closes the wall at the end face on the side facing away from the base, and an intermediate wall, which is arranged inside of the wall and at a distance therefrom, wherein a gap is provided between a lower edge of the intermediate wall and the base, so that an interior enclosed by the intermediate wall is fluidically connected to an interior enclosed by the wall.
Container for storing and transporting liquefied gas
A container for storing and transporting liquefied gas, having a first, internal reservoir that extends in a longitudinal direction (A) and is configured to store the liquefied gas, a second, external reservoir that is disposed around the first reservoir with a vacuum insulated space between the first and the second reservoir, a third, annular reservoir that is disposed around the first reservoir, between the first and the second reservoir, the third reservoir extending around at least a part of the first reservoir and containing a liquefied gas in order to form a heat shield for thermally insulating the first reservoir, and a device for holding the first and third reservoirs in the second reservoir.
