Storage tank
A storage tank includes a frame, tank assembly, and scrubber system. The tank assembly including a vessel supported by the frame and having a first end, a second end, and a sidewall extending from the first end to the second end. The vessel further has a top, a bottom, at least one side, an internal surface, and an outlet fluidly coupled with the bottom. A scrubber tank is supported by the frame and fluidly connected to the a top of the vessel to receive vapors from the vessel in a way that when a vapor absorption material is disposed in the scrubber tank, the vapors pass into the vapor absorption material.
BLADDER-TYPE PRESSURE TANK AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A bladder-type pressure tank includes an outer shell, a bladder, a nozzle, and an elbow pipe. The outer shell includes a liner and a glass-fiber layer covering the outer surface of the liner. The liner includes polyethylene (PE). The liner further includes a chamber, a first opening, and a second opening. The bladder is disposed in the chamber. In an inflated state of the bladder, a gap is formed between the inflated bladder and the inner surface of the liner. The bladder includes polyurethane (PU). The nozzle is integrated with the bladder, and is disposed in the first opening and seals the first opening. The elbow pipe includes a first end and a second end. The first end of the elbow pipe is disposed in the second opening and communicates with the chamber; and the second end of the elbow pipe is configured to connect to a pipeline.
TANK
A tank comprises: a liner including a circular cylindrical body part having a center axis and a dome part placed at each of opposite ends of the body part; and a reinforcing layer placed on the liner and containing fiber. The reinforcing layer includes a hoop layer placed on the body part and a helical layer placed across an area on the hoop layer and on the dome part. The hoop layer includes a hoop body layer and a hoop end layer connected to the hoop body layer and located at an end portion of the hoop body layer in an axis direction along the center axis. The hoop end layer has a shape projecting externally further in a radial direction of the body part than the hoop body layer, and includes an apex portion located at the outermost position in the radial direction and a tilted surface extending from the apex portion toward an outer surface of the dome part and having a shape conforming to the shape of the outer surface.
Composite structures, composite storage tanks, vehicles including such composite storage tanks, and related systems and methods
A composite storage tank may include a wall structure including at least three regions including an inner region, an outer region, and at least one permeation barrier. Another region may be optionally incorporated for venting potential permeation of fluids. The at least one permeation barrier and/or the venting layer may be strategically positioned between the inner region and the outer region to reduce or at least partially prevent fluid permeation of the inner region or the outer region. A vehicle may include such a composite storage tank. Methods of forming a composite fluid storage tank may include forming an inner composite region, applying a permeation barrier to an outer surface of the inner composite region, forming an outer composite region, and curing the inner composite region and the outer composite region with the permeation barrier to form the composite fluid storage tank.
HIGH-PRESSURE TANK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A high-pressure tank includes an assembly of a pipe split body having a pipe liner and a pipe reinforcement layer covering an outer circumferential surface of the pipe liner, first dome split body having a first dome liner and a first dome reinforcement layer covering an outer circumferential surface of the first dome liner, and second dome split body having a second dome liner and a second dome reinforcement layer covering an outer circumferential surface of the second dome liner. The pipe split body and the first dome split body are assembled such that the first dome liner is located in the outer portion of the high-pressure tank relative to the pipe liner. The pipe split body and the second dome split body are assembled such that the second dome liner is located in the outer portion of the high-pressure tank relative to the pipe liner.
PRESSURE VESSEL ASSEMBLY AND PRESSURE VESSEL PROTECTOR
A pressure vessel assembly including a pressure vessel including a cylinder part and a first side part and a second side part, the first side part and the second side part each having a dome shape and being provided at two opposite ends of the cylinder part, nozzle members respectively provided on the first side part and the second side part, and a plurality of protectors connected to the nozzle members and configured to surround a respective outer surface of the first side part or the second side part.
Method for manufacturing high-pressure tank
A method for manufacturing a high-pressure tank including a liner that stores gas and a reinforcing layer made of a fiber-reinforced resin and covering an outer surface of the liner includes: a first step of forming a cylinder member made of the fiber-reinforced resin; a second step of forming two dome members made of the fiber-reinforced resin; and a third step of forming a reinforcing body that is the reinforcing layer by joining both end portions of the cylinder member and end portions of the two dome members, respectively.
