END FITTING FOR A PRESSURIZED FLUID RESERVOIR
End fitting for a pressurized fluid reservoir, the reservoir comprising a liner (2) which comprises a tubular central portion (20) with a first cylindrical outer surface (21), characterized in that the end fitting (1) comprises an end portion (10) with a second cylindrical outer surface (11), the end portion (10) being configured to be positioned coaxially with respect to the tubular central portion (20), the second cylindrical outer surface (11) forming a radially flush extension of the first cylindrical outer surface (21), the end fitting (1) being configured to be mounted in a sealed manner on the outside of a neck (22) of the liner (2) by means of an annular sealing joint (4) arranged coaxially with respect to the end portion (10) in an annular groove (12) provided in an inner recess (13) of the end fitting (1) such that the internal pressure in the reservoir has a tendency to push the neck (22) radially outwards against the annular sealing joint (4).
HIGH-PRESSURE COMPOSITE CONTAINER HAVING GASTIGHT NOZZLE STRUCTURE
A high-pressure composite container having a gastight nozzle structure includes a metal nozzle formed at a side of an inlet of a plastic liner layer that defines an inner layer of the high-pressure composite container; a nozzle insert which is inserted into and attached to the metal nozzle in a direction from an inner side of the plastic liner layer to an outer side of the plastic liner layer; and a nut member fixed to an upper end portion of the nozzle insert.
Storage tank
A storage tank includes a frame, tank assembly, and scrubber system. The tank assembly including a vessel supported by the frame and having a first end, a second end, and a sidewall extending from the first end to the second end. The vessel further has a top, a bottom, at least one side, an internal surface, and an outlet fluidly coupled with the bottom. A scrubber tank is supported by the frame and fluidly connected to the a top of the vessel to receive vapors from the vessel in a way that when a vapor absorption material is disposed in the scrubber tank, the vapors pass into the vapor absorption material.
Reinforced Plastic Air Storage Cylinder
A reinforced plastic air storage cylinder, including an upper shell comprising a first inner volume, a first inner wall defining the first inner volume, and a first outer frame comprising reinforcing ribs connected to an exterior surface of the first inner wall to provide structural support thereto, wherein the first inner wall comprises a plurality of arc segments connected together to form petal-like structures wherein the plurality of arc segments of the first inner wall forms a plurality of peaks projecting into the first inner volume at locations where adjacent arc segments of the plurality of arc segments of the first inner wall connect to one another; a first center column positioned in the first inner volume; a first set of tensile ribs; and a lower shell comprising a second inner volume.
BLADDER-TYPE PRESSURE TANK AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A bladder-type pressure tank includes an outer shell, a bladder, a nozzle, and an elbow pipe. The outer shell includes a liner and a glass-fiber layer covering the outer surface of the liner. The liner includes polyethylene (PE). The liner further includes a chamber, a first opening, and a second opening. The bladder is disposed in the chamber. In an inflated state of the bladder, a gap is formed between the inflated bladder and the inner surface of the liner. The bladder includes polyurethane (PU). The nozzle is integrated with the bladder, and is disposed in the first opening and seals the first opening. The elbow pipe includes a first end and a second end. The first end of the elbow pipe is disposed in the second opening and communicates with the chamber; and the second end of the elbow pipe is configured to connect to a pipeline.
Knob Cap for High-Pressure Tank
The present invention relates to a knob cap for a high-pressure tank including a coupling groove portion corresponding to a knob of a liner of the high-pressure tank formed in a lower surface of a body; a peripheral wing portion extending outward in a lower end of an outer circumferential surface of the body to be in contact with a surface of the liner; and a thickness conversion portion formed in the outer circumferential surface of the body to change a thickness between a center line and the outer circumferential surface.
METHOD FOR REFUELLING A VEHICLE
The invention relates to a method for refuelling a vehicle (60) or an autonomous vehicle (60). At least one hydrogen tank (10) accommodating gaseous hydrogen is fitted in the vehicle (60). The method comprises the following method steps: The vehicle (60) drives into a refuelling area (24). A refuelling operation (28; 78, 80, 82) is performed on the vehicle (60). Then, the temperature of the contents of the at least hydrogen tank (10) is checked (30). If a temperature (74) of the tank contents of the at least one hydrogen tank (10) exceeds a temperature limit value (32), the vehicle (60) is transferred to a cooling down area (36). There, the tank temperature (44) is checked a second time following a cooling down phase. The tank pressure is checked (48) if the tank temperature (74) lies below a temperature limit value. If the tank pressure (76) in the at least one hydrogen tank (10) is below a tank pressure limit value, the vehicle (60) is transferred to the refuelling area (24) to continue refuelling; if the tank pressure (76) is in the tank pressure limit range, refuelling is halted (52).
HYDROGEN TANK ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE, SUCH AS AN AIRCRAFT
A hydrogen tank assembly is provided for use in vehicles, such as aircraft. The hydrogen tank assembly has an inner tank wall, an outer tank wall, and an inert gas source. The inner tank wall defines a hydrogen tank volume that is surrounded by a shroud volume which is defined by the outer tank wall. The hydrogen tank volume is filled with cryogenic hydrogen and has a higher pressure than the shroud volume that is filled with an inert gas, such as helium. The counter-pressure of the inert gas prevents micro-cracks in the inner tank wall and increases the in-service life.
BOSS FOR TYPE IV COMPOSITE PRESSURE VESSELS
The present invention discloses a boss configuration for a Type IV composite pressure vessel (“CPV”). In particular, the invention provides liner-to-boss interface that allows the polymeric liner to wrap around the internal collar of the boss that extends below the flange. Since the wrap-around section of the liner conforming to the internal collar portion of the boss is subjected to pressure from all sides, the liner stays adhered to the boss when the inside surface of the liner in a CPV is subjected to internal pressure from the contained fluid.
VACUUM PANEL
An insulation arrangement for an ocean-going ship comprising a modular arrangement of panels, each panel comprising a first cold layer and an opposing ambient layer and a volume therebetween arranged in use to be evacuated to create a vacuum.
