APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MAKING INTERNALLY FINNED PRESSURE VESSEL
An apparatus for fabricating an internally finned pressure vessel includes a plurality of positioning discs, each of the positioning discs defining a plurality of circumferentially spaced slots extending radially into the positioning disc from a perimeter thereof, and one or more rods extending through the plurality of positioning discs, the plurality of positioning discs being held in axial alignment by the one or more rods. A method of fabricating the internally finned pressure vessel includes providing the apparatus, loading a plurality of fins into the slots of the positioning discs, inserting the apparatus containing the plurality of fins into a pressure vessel, attaching the plurality of fins to the pressure vessel by a brazing process, and removing the apparatus from the pressure vessel.
Membrane anchor mechanism
A membrane anchor mechanism which fixes a membrane provided on an inner wall surface side of a concrete wall via a heating insulating material to the concrete wall, includes a rod-shaped leg portion which is erected on the concrete wall, an anchor which is supported by the leg portion in a state of being separated from the concrete wall and is inserted into a through-hole passing through the heat insulating material and the membrane, and a pressing part which is fixed to the anchor through the through-hole and presses the membrane.
Reinforcement technology for super-high pressure tank reinforced by carbon fiber
The present invention is directed to a reinforcement method for a cylindrical high-pressure tank reinforced by FRP prepreg bandage, totally. For that purpose, this invention developed the manufacturing process for the internal metallic tank assembly where its diameter is comparatively large. It is effective for lightening weight of a high-pressure tank.
GAS STORAGE IN NEGATIVE POISSON'S RATIO STRUCTURES
A gas storage apparatus includes a foam body having a negative Poisson's ratio, and a gas impregnated in closed cells of the foam body, the gas having a pressure above atmospheric pressure. A method of making a gas storage apparatus includes providing a first body comprising a precursor material, and, while the first body is in an atmosphere including a gas, applying a stimulus to the precursor material, the stimulus causing the precursor material to form a closed-cell porous foam structure having a negative Poisson's ratio. Cells of the closed-cell porous foam structure encapsulate the gas at a pressure above atmospheric pressure.
METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING GAS CONTAINER AND GAS CONTAINER
A gas container includes a tubular container main body formed by a plurality of pieces which include a first dome piece and a second dome piece and are disposed separately in an axial direction, the tubular container main body having an internal space configured to store a gas, a first mouthpiece attached to the first dome piece, a second mouthpiece attached to the second dome piece, a storage member configured to store and release a gas, and a tubular accommodation member disposed in the internal space and having an accommodation space accommodating the storage member. A method for assembling a gas container includes a first step of assembling and fixing the accommodation member to the first mouthpiece attached to the first dome piece, and temporarily assembling the accommodation member to the second mouthpiece attached to the second dome piece, and a second step of connecting the pieces to each other.
PIPE LEADTHROUGH MODULE FOR A CRYOGENIC CONTAINER
The invention relates to a pipe penetration module (7) for a cryogenic container (1), which comprises an inner tank (2) and an outer container (3) vacuum-insulated relative to said inner tank, the pipe penetration module (7) comprising a cladding pipe (6) and a pipeline (5) at least partially accommodated in the cladding pipe (6), wherein the pipeline (5) passes with a first pipeline end (10) through a first cladding pipe end (8) of the cladding pipe (6) so that the first pipeline end (10) can be rigidly connected to the outer container (3) and the first cladding pipe end (8) can be rigidly connected to the inner tank (2), the pipeline (5) and the cladding pipe (6) being rigidly connected to one another at a second cladding pipe end (13), and with the pipeline (5) and the cladding pipe (6) each having a kink (17, 18) in an area between the first cladding pipe end (8) and the second cladding pipe end (13).
TANK
Provided is a tank that can lead to suppressed corrosion on a mouthpiece. The tank includes: a liner; and a mouthpiece disposed in an opening part of the liner, wherein a surface of the mouthpiece is aluminum, an anodized layer is provided over the surface of the mouthpiece, the anodized layer is partially a sealing part where a sealing layer is formed, and a rest of the anodized layer is partially a non-sealing part where the sealing layer is not formed, and the liner is disposed so as to straddle a boundary between the sealing part and the non-sealing part.
Insulation panel for corner area of LNG cargo containment system
The present invention is related to a corner panel of an LNG cargo that includes a main body, which constitutes a corner area of the cargo, and a stress diverging part, which reduces the convergence of stress of the main body by being integrated with an internal face of the main body and being formed with curvature. Therefore, by forming the corner area of the LNG cargo in a single body having a round-shaped curvature, convergence of stress caused by the deformation of the hull and thermal deformation can be prevented, and possibility of crack in a secondary barrier can be removed. By allowing the secondary barrier to be formed in a curved shape, the constructability of the secondary barrier can be greatly improved. Since no hardwood key or plywood is required, the thickness of a primary barrier can be reduced as the stress is decreased and the reliability of the secondary barrier is improved, and the weight can be greatly reduced over the conventional cargo corner area.
