A mount for a double-walled vessel includes a first support to support the mount against an outer wall of the double-walled vessel, a second support to support the mount against an inner wall of the double-walled vessel, and a flexible member connecting the first support and the second support. The first support and can be arranged at a first end of the flexible member and the second support can be arranged at a second end of the flexible member opposite to the first end. Further described are a vessel including at least one such mount as well as a vehicle including such vessel.
Method and facility for storing and distributing liquefied hydrogen
The invention relates to a method for storing and distributing liquefied hydrogen using a facility that comprises a store of liquid hydrogen at a predetermined storage pressure, a source of hydrogen gas, a liquefier comprising an inlet connected to the source and an outlet connected to the liquid hydrogen store, the store comprising a pipe for drawing liquid, comprising one end connected to the liquid hydrogen store and one end intended for being connected to at least one mobile tank, the method comprising a step of liquefying hydrogen gas supplied by the source and a step of transferring the liquefied hydrogen into the store characterized in that the hydrogen liquefied by the liquefier and transferred into the store has a temperature lower than the bubble temperature of hydrogen at the storage pressure.
PUMPING OF LIQUID CRYOGEN FROM A STORAGE TANK
A liquid cryogen stored in a liquid cryogen space of a closed insulated cryogenic storage vessel is subcooled by allowing it to enter into a conduit disposed in the liquid cryogen space where it is expanded by a pressure reducer in the conduit, thereby producing a cooled biphasic mixture of the cryogen in liquid and vaporized forms. The cooled biphasic mixture has a temperature lower than that of the liquid cryogen in the liquid cryogen space. Heat is transferred across the conduit from the liquid cryogen in the liquid cryogen space to the cooled biphasic mixture.
LIQUEFIED GAS STORAGE TANK
A tank for storing liquefied gas, having a shell delimiting a storage volume extending in a main direction which is horizontal in the use configuration of the tank, the tank comprising multiple deflecting walls in the storage volume which extend in an offset manner in the main direction configured to force the fluid to perform at least one back-and-forth movement in the main direction as the fluid passes between the lower end and the upper end of the storage volume, wherein a plurality of these deflecting walls are located in the lower half of the storage volume.
METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING CYLINDRICAL TANK
A method for constructing a double-shell-structured cylindrical tank having an inner tank and an outer tank includes: a step of, inside the outer tank, assembling a first structure of the inner tank excluding a lowermost level of the inner tank by alternately and repeatedly performing raising of an inner tank lateral plate using a jack-up unit and attaching of a next inner tank lateral plate below the raised inner tank lateral plate; a step of assembling a second structure serving as the lowermost level of the inner tank on an annular portion provided on a base portion of the outer tank and configured to support the inner tank; and a step of assembling the inner tank by joining the first structure and the second structure.
Refuelling method and device for supplying liquefied gases and the like
A refuelling device for supplying liquefied gas is provided, including a feed system adapted to place each reservoir in fluidic through connection with a tank and including withdrawal ducts for withdrawing the liquefied gas from the reservoirs; an inlet duct for introducing the liquefied gas into the tank; a collection manifold for conveying the withdrawal ducts into the inlet duct; a pump adapted to move the liquefied gas in the feed system; and a pressure gauge to measure the inlet pressure of the liquefied gas in the pump; and a valve adapted to regulate the flow in the inlet duct according to the inlet pressure.
METHOD FOR SUPPLYING CRYOGENIC FLUID TO A MACHINING MACHINE
A method for machining workpieces, having a cryogenic fluid intake in a machining zone, including locating a valve on the line connecting a fluid source to a machining tool in the machining zone, the valve self-regulates the degree of opening according to the pressure required downstream thereof, the valve is located inside a cold box for implementing the cryogenic fluid and provides a fixed and adjustable pressure, and a fixed adjustable flow, to the machining tool, irrespective of the tool that is used, and the number of orifices and the diameter of the fluid ejection orifices in the tool.
SUBCOOLED CYROGENIC STORAGE AND TRANSPORT OF VOLATILE GASES
A system and method of operation is described wherein a cryogenic liquid transport fluid is used as in a thermal cascade with at least one volatile gas. The volatile gas in the liquid state enables transport thereof. In operating this system, the liquid volatile gas is maintained at a temperature below its boiling point, below its flash point, but above its freezing point.
