Compressed air tanks are connected to a first group of the air and liquid tanks. The system further includes a pump and a liquid turbine, the liquid turbine being electrically connected to a generator for generating electric power. During charging of the system, liquid is pumped through the first group of air and liquid tanks, and air is expelled from the first group of air and liquid tanks and compressed in the compressed air tanks. During discharging of the system, compressed air is released from the compressed air tanks, and said compressed air pumps liquid through the liquid turbine, thereby generating electricity.

HYDROGEN STORAGE SYSTEM

A hydrogen storage system may include a storage container storing liquid hydrogen, a supply line connected to the storage container and to a fuel cell system, the supply line supplying gaseous hydrogen to the fuel cell system from the storage container, a compressor mounted in the supply line and compressing the gaseous hydrogen, a bypass line connecting the supply line and the storage container and allowing the gaseous hydrogen to flow from the supply line to the storage container, a control valve mounted in the bypass line and selectively adjusting a bypass flow rate of the gaseous hydrogen, an orifice provided in the bypass line, and a controller configured to control the control valve, accurately adjusting a supply pressure of the storage container and a supply amount of the hydrogen to be supplied to the fuel cell system based on the operation conditions of the fuel cell system.

PUMPING OF LIQUID CRYOGEN FROM A STORAGE TANK

A liquid cryogen stored in a liquid cryogen space of a closed insulated cryogenic storage vessel is subcooled by allowing it to enter into a conduit disposed in the liquid cryogen space where it is expanded by a pressure reducer in the conduit, thereby producing a cooled biphasic mixture of the cryogen in liquid and vaporized forms. The cooled biphasic mixture has a temperature lower than that of the liquid cryogen in the liquid cryogen space. Heat is transferred across the conduit from the liquid cryogen in the liquid cryogen space to the cooled biphasic mixture.

Provided are a method and apparatus for calculating a volume of a compressed gas storage vessel, a computer, and a medium. According to the method, three test vessels with known volume and initial pressure are used to establish a pressure equilibrium with a compressed gas storage system, and pressure values in three equilibrium states are respectively detected. In this way, according to the three pressure values and the known volumes and initial pressures, a volume of the compressed gas storage system, a volume of a hose, and a pressure value of the compressed gas storage system in an initial state can be quickly and accurately calculated. By accurately obtaining the volume of the compressed gas storage system, the volume of the hose, and the pressure value of the compressed gas storage system in the initial state, a refueling rate can be increased as much as possible while ensuring safe refueling.
