Method and system of dispensing liquefied gas
A method for dispensing liquefied fuel, the method including: providing a non-petroleum fuel as a liquefied fuel to a storage tank; increasing pressure of the liquefied fuel to a target pressure using a pump disposed within the storage tank, where a first portion of the liquefied fuel is bypassed around or at least partially around a heat exchanger, and a second portion of the liquefied fuel is discharged to the heat exchanger, where the heat exchanger is configured to warm the second portion of the liquefied fuel. A dispenser is provided that incorporates a control system that allows coordinated fueling of one or more vehicles simultaneously, where the heat exchanger uses only the fuel itself without external refrigeration to manage final dispensing temperature and the fueling station does not include a storage subsystem disposed between the pump and the dispenser.
Fluid bypass method and system for controlling the temperature of a non-petroleum fuel
A fluid bypass method for controlling the temperature of a non-petroleum fuel, the fluid bypass method includes: providing a fuel at a pressure sufficient to effect a desired flow rate to a vehicle, the fuel being at a liquid or substantially supercritical thermodynamic state requiring further heat addition in a vaporizer; and diverting a bypass stream with partial or no vaporization to a heat exchanger as a cold fluid on a cold side of the heat exchanger. The method further includes providing a remainder stream of the fuel to the vaporizer; mixing the remainder stream outflowed from the vaporizer with the cold fluid outflowed from the cold side of the heat exchanger to form a combined fuel stream; and providing the combined fuel stream to the heat exchanger as a warm fluid on a warm side of the heat exchanger.
Vessel
A vessel includes a heat exchanger for heat-exchanging compressed boil-off gas (hereinafter, referred to as first fluid) by using, as a refrigerant, the boil-off gas discharged from a storage tank, to cool the same; a main compression part for compressing a part of the boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank; a rest compression part provided in parallel to the main compression part so as to compress the other part of the boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank; and a decompression device for expanding the first fluid having been cooled by exchanging heat with the boil-off gas, which is discharged from the storage tank, in the heat exchanger. The first fluid is a flow in which the boil-off gas compressed by the main compression part and the boil-off gas compressed by the rest compression part join; or the boil-off gas compressed by the main compression part.
Ship including gas re-vaporizing system
A ship including a gas re-vaporizing system according to the present invention includes: a ship body; a vaporizer which is arranged in an upper portion of the ship body, and vaporizes liquefied gas and supplies the vaporized liquefied gas to a demander; and a heat source supply apparatus which is arranged inside the ship body and supplies a heat source to the vaporizer.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SUPPLYING BACKUP PRODUCTION IN AIR SEPARATION DEVICE
A system and method for supplying a backup product in an air separation device, as well as a system and method for supplying a lower-pressure product to a user by means of pressurization of a cryogenic liquid pump during normal operation of an air separation device, i.e., when the cryogenic liquid pump is in the cold standby state. By means of the system and method, a cryogenic liquid product taken from a storage tank is pressurized by the cryogenic liquid pump to produce a lower-pressure product by taking full advantage of the low-speed operation of the cryogenic liquid pump in the cold standby state, and the lower-pressure product is transmitted to product supply lines of a user, to achieve the function of supplying the lower-pressure product to the user. The system and method not only reduce the energy loss of the cryogenic liquid pump in the cold standby state for a long time, but also avoid the bleeding rate of the cryogenic liquid product generated by sending a part of the cryogenic liquid product back to the storage tank, so that the advantage of quickly starting the cryogenic liquid pump from the cold standby state is ensured, and the requirements of the user to the higher-pressure product and the lower-pressure product can be satisfied.
LNG boiloff gas recondensation configurations and methods
Systems and methods for optimizing the recondensation of boiloff gas in liquid natural gas storage tanks are presented. In especially preferred aspects of the inventive subject matter, BOG from a storage tank is condensed using refrigeration content of a portion of LNG sendout in a direct or indirect manner, and the BOG condensate and LNG sendout portion are combined to form a subcooled stream that is then combined with the balance of the LNG sendout, to be fed to a high pressure pump. Contemplated recondensation operations advantageously occur without using otherwise needed large volume recondensers. Moreover, the condensing and subcooling operations are decoupled from the LNG sendout rate.
Method and device for replenishing a supply of cryogenic liquid, notably of liquefied natural gas
A method for replenishing the supply of cryogenic liquid from a storage tank (2) includes: pressurizing a container (14) with cryogenic gas at a first pressure, said container having passing through it a first cryogenic fluid flow line referred to as the cold line and a second cryogenic fluid flow line referred to as the hot line, passing cryogenic liquid at a second pressure through the cold line (12), and supplying the container (14) with cryogenic gas at least partially from cryogenic liquid pumped from the storage tank (2) and vaporized. A device is also provided for the method hereinabove.
Liquid dispensing systems with gas removal and sensing capabilities
A dispensing assembly for a pressure dispense package includes a connector having separate and distinct liquid and extraction conduits, and having a pressurization gas conduit. A liner fitment adapter may include a longitudinal bore to receive a probe portion of a connector defining a liquid extraction conduit, and may include a lateral bore to enable removal of gas. Insertion of a connector into a dispensing assembly simultaneously makes fluidic connections between (a) a gas extraction conduit and a dispensing volume; (b) a liquid extraction conduit and the dispensing volume, and (c) a pressurization gas conduit and a space to be pressurized within a pressure dispense vessel.
FLUID BYPASS METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING THE TEMPERATURE OF A NON-PETROLEUM FUEL
