SOLVENT DEPRESSURIZATION DEVICES, SYSTEM, AND METHODS
A solvent storage and depressurization system is described. The system allows a volume of solvent to be stored and used at low pressure, thereby providing safety benefits and regulatory simplicity. The system includes an external expansion tank that is located outside of an extraction facility and that contains a solvent. The system also includes an internal storage tank that is located inside of the extraction facility and that provides a solvent supply to a solvent user, such as a phytochemical extraction system. The external and internal tanks are separated and connected via a duplex manifold. The manifold allows gas below a first pressure level to pass from the external expansion tank to the internal storage tank, and allows gas above a second pressure level to pass from the internal storage tank back to the external expansion tank, wherein the second pressure level is greater than the first pressure level.
System and Method for Transfering Liquid Argon to Bulk Transport Tanks
A system and method is provided for transferring liquid argon from a bulk storage tank to a transport tank in which liquid argon is pumped through a tube arrangement within a heat exchanger and the tube arrangement is contacted by liquid nitrogen so that heat transfers from the liquid argon to the liquid nitrogen, thereby reducing the temperature, density and pressure of the liquid nitrogen prior to exiting the heat exchanger and flowing into the transport tank.
Control Unit and Method for Setting the Pressure in the Removal Line of a Pressure Container
A control unit for a pressure container system comprising at least one pressure container with a pressure container valve designed to conduct fuel from the pressure container into a removal line for supplying an energy converter. The control unit is designed to determine that a fueling procedure of the pressure container is occurring or has occurred. In response thereto, the control unit is additionally designed to cause the pressure container valve to open in a pulsed manner temporally prior to a removal request for fuel for operating the energy converter so that the pressure in the removal line approximates the pressure in the pressure container.
Method and facility for storing and distributing liquefied hydrogen
The invention relates to a method for storing and distributing liquefied hydrogen using a facility that comprises a store of liquid hydrogen at a predetermined storage pressure, a source of hydrogen gas, a liquefier comprising an inlet connected to the source and an outlet connected to the liquid hydrogen store, the store comprising a pipe for drawing liquid, comprising one end connected to the liquid hydrogen store and one end intended for being connected to at least one mobile tank, the method comprising a step of liquefying hydrogen gas supplied by the source and a step of transferring the liquefied hydrogen into the store characterized in that the hydrogen liquefied by the liquefier and transferred into the store has a temperature lower than the bubble temperature of hydrogen at the storage pressure.
SYSTEM FOR TRANSFERRING FLUID AND FLUID TRANSFER METHOD
A system for transferring a fluid includes a transfer line connecting a storage tank and an LNG carrier, a loading arm provided on the transfer line, an emergency shutoff device configured to shut off the transfer line, a bypass line connecting the transfer line and the storage tank, and a bypass valve provided in the bypass line. The storage tank includes a fluid reception pipe configured to receive the fluid from the outside and a BOG pipe configured to discharge a boil-off gas of the fluid generated in the storage tank to the outside, and the bypass line is connected to at least one of the fluid reception pipe or the BOG pipe.
FUELING STATION FOR SUPPLY OF LIQUID ORGANIC HYDROGEN CARRIERS AND METHOD OF OPERATION
Apparatus, methods and technologies are described for utilizing a liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) fueling station to supply fresh or hydrogen laden LOHC and to recover spent or hydrogen depleted LOHC liquid fuels from mobile vehicles and tanker trucks to support the use of LOHC as carbon-neutral hydrogen fuels to power vehicles, to generate and store electricity, to generate and capture hydrogen, and to replace the use of conventional hydrocarbon fuels while maintaining an overall carbon-neutral balance with respect to the environment. The disclosure includes apparatus, methods and technologies to resupply a modular LOHC fueling station, to store, dispense and recover LOHC fuels, and to transfer the LOHC liquid fuels while balancing displaced vapors to maintain an overall carbon-neutral environmental footprint.
HYDROGEN TRANSPORT AND STORAGE SYSTEM
A mobile hydrogen fueling system for use in fueling mobile hydrogen vehicles includes: a towing vehicle with a hydrogen powered fuel cell that powers the towing vehicle, and a trailer. The trailer includes a hydrogen storage tank, a hydrogen fuel transport device such as a gas compressor or a liquid pump, and a dispenser attached to the hydrogen tank that dispenses hydrogen to a receiving hydrogen tank. A controller regulates the hydrogen fuel transport device and thus the flow of hydrogen that the dispenser dispenses.
SERVICE PROVIDING MOBILE UNIT
A service providing mobile unit 1 comprised of a frame 2 forming a ring shape about a horizontal axis, movement-use wheels 4, 5 attached to the bottom part of the frame 2, a hydrogen storage tank insert pan 10 formed inside the frame 2, and a fuel cell 40 arranged inside the frame 2. Hydrogen is supplied to the fuel cell 40 from a replaceable hydrogen storage tank 20 inserted into the hydrogen storage tank insert part 10. A service providing space 3 having a ring-shaped inner circumference surface of the frame 2 as its outer edges is formed by the frame 2, and power can be supplied from the fuel cell 40 to a service providing unit installed inside the service providing space 3.
Configurations and methods for small scale LNG production
A small scale natural gas liquefaction plant is integrated with an LNG loading facility in which natural gas is liquefied using a multi-stage gas expansion cycle. LNG is then loaded onto an LNG truck or other LNG transport vehicle at the loading facility using a differential pressure control system that uses compressed boil off gas as a motive force to move the LNG from the LNG storage tank to the LNG truck so as to avoid the use of an LNG pump and associated equipment as well as to avoid venting of boil off vapors into the environment.
