Propane tank continuous monitoring system
An apparatus, system and method for measuring quantity of a material are disclosed. One or more sensors are used to measure the quantity of the material are measured and error causing parameters are also measured. Error causing parameters are processed by executing one or more correction methodologies to determine a correction output. The quantity of the material is measured by using the correction output. One or values associated with the quantity of the material are measured and displayed. The one or more values are transmitted to a server and informative messages are received from the server.
FITTING FOR LIQUID GAS CYLINDERS AND FILLING METHOD
It is object of the invention to reduce the technical expenditure for refilling of gas bottles. For solving the problem, a claimed fitting comprises a gas tap for gas withdrawal and an opening for refilling a liquid gas bottle. The opening for refilling a liquid gas bottle can be connected, in particular by opening a valve, in a gas-conducting manner to a hose-shaped or tubular line of the fitting, which can extent into a liquid gas bottle by at least 300 mm, preferably at least 400 mm, if the fitting is connected with such a gas bottle. Hereby, it can achieved that the line extents into the liquefied part of the gas, which especially enables a very fast emptying though pumping. Emptying is necessary when a refilled gas bottle proves to be untight. A speed advantage is thereby achieved. Basically, there is an opening at the bottom side of the fitting adjacent to the hose-shaped or tubular line. The bottom side is the side, which adjoins the liquid gas bottle or respectively is arranged entirely in the bottle or in a bottle neck when the fitting is connected to a liquid gas bottle. This opening at the bottom side can be connected to the gas tap in a gas-conducting manner, specifically typically by rotating a corresponding rotary handle. The hose-shaped or tubular line protrudes relative to the opening, specifically in particular by at least by 200 mm, particularly preferred by at least 300 mm. A method concerns the refilling of a liquid gas bottle comprising the claimed fitting.
FILLING STATION FOR GAS BOTTLES AND FILLING METHOD
The filling station according to the invention enables an automated refilling of a gas bottle by an end-user. This comprises an insertion device, which enables an end-user to insert an emptied gas bottle into the filling station. The filling station comprises a closing device for closing the filling station after the insertion of the gas bottle such that a removal of the gas bottle subsequent to the closing is not possible. The end-user may not remove the gas bottle in a closed state. Furthermore, the filling station comprises a filling device for an automated filling of an into the filling station inserted emptied gas bottle subsequent to the closing. A filling may thus only take place, if the filling station is closed and in consequence the gas bottle cannot be removed. There is a gas testing device for an automated gas leakage test after a refilling of an inserted gas bottle. With it, the tightness of a once again filled gas bottle is tested. There is a release device that releases an afore filled or full gas bottle only after a successful gas leakage test and thus enables a removal of a once again filled gas bottle. A removal of a gas bottled filled with gas respectively liquid gas is thus only possible, if the gas leakage test revealed that no gas escapes from the filled bottle. The invention further concerns a method for refilling.
FUEL TRANSFER ADAPTERS
A fuel transfer adapter for a fuel cartridge, the fuel transfer adapter comprising: an adapter body; at least one fuel filling channel through said adapter body for the passage of fuel from a valve of the fuel cartridge to a fuel tank of an appliance through a filling port of said fuel tank; a fuel cartridge engaging portion at one end of the adapter body, for engaging the adapter body with the valve of the fuel cartridge; and, a port engaging portion at the other end of the adapter body for releasably engaging with the filling port, whereby the fuel transfer adapter incorporates at least one vent for the passage of vapour from the fuel tank to the atmosphere, said at least one vent being configured, in use, to transfer vapour displaced from the fuel tank by the fuel entering therein to the atmosphere.
A method of filling a fuel tank of an appliance comprising the steps of: docking a fuel cartridge equipped with a fuel transfer adapter to a filling port of an appliance; applying a push force between the appliance and the fuel cartridge to open both a port filling valve and a fuel cartridge valve; applying a further push force between the appliance and the cartridge to create a fluid-tight seal between a compliant rim of the fuel transfer adapter and the filling port, and to create a fluid-tight seal between the sealing lip of a port engaging portion of the fuel transfer adapter and a wall of the filling port; allowing fuel to transfer from the fuel cartridge to the fuel tank of the appliance, and displaced vapour to transfer from the fuel tank to the atmosphere through a vent in the fuel transfer adapter; and, undocking the fuel cartridge from the filling port.
Flow-blocking safety valve to prevent explosion of portable gas container
There is provided a flow-blocking safety valve to prevent an explosion of a portable gas container, wherein, when the portable gas container overheats during use and the temperature rises above a predetermined level, a bridge hold supporting a pin of the safety valve melts and thus a pin or ball securely supported in the bridge holder becomes free to move to close a flow channel through which the gas flows, thereby blocking the gas discharge and preventing an accident occurring when the gas container bursts by overheating.
VALVE STRUCTURE FOR PROPANE TANK AND METHOD THEREOF
Embodiments of a propane tank valve are provided. In one embodiment, the propane tank valve includes a plug with a tapered portion, the plug moveable between closed and open positions relative to a valve passageway. Upon the plug being in the closed position, the tapered portion of the plug is positioned within the valve passageway. Upon the plug being initially moved from the closed position to the open position, the tapered portion of the plug is sized and configured to initially minimize the gas flow from the valve passageway and through a flow limiting device configured to be coupled to the propane tank valve such that movement of the tapered portion from the closed plug position initially forms a gap between a tapered surface of the tapered portion and an internal surface of the valve passageway.
