Dehumidifier for a closed vehicle headlamp housing
A device for dehumidifying a closed vehicle headlamp housing includes a box with an opening connecting the inside of the box with the inside of the closed housing, and an opening connecting the inside of the box with the outside of the closed housing. The device further includes a shutter for alternatively opening the opening or sealingly closing it, an actuation module configured such that the shutter closes the opening when it is activated, and a heating element for emitting heat when the actuation module is activated.
HEADLAMP DEVICE
A headlamp device includes a headlamp, an object detector, and a controller. The headlamp is mounted on a vehicle and includes a light emitting unit composed of multiple light emitting cells. The object detector detects an object around the vehicle and generates an object detection signal including object coordinates corresponding to a location of the detected object. The controller controls light of the headlamp based on information on the object coordinates. The controller may control the light emitting unit such that at least some light emitting cells are turned off according to an object detection signal. Each of multiple light emitting units includes a circuit board, the multiple light emitting cells separated from each other on the circuit board, a molding member formed between the light emitting structures, and a protective member formed on the molding member to surround sides of the multiple wavelength conversion members while filling a gap between the multiple wavelength conversion members.
LIGHTING DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
Lighting device for a motor vehicle including a light source and/or an optical part. A substrate including electrical tracks, the light source and/or optical part being fastened to the substrate, and a part forming an electrical ground for the electrical tracks. The substrate includes a cut-out forming a tab, electrical tracks of the substrate extending onto the tab, at least one of the tracks on the tab making electrical contact with the ground-forming part.
METHOD FOR OPERATING AN AUTOMOTIVE LIGHTING DEVICE AND AUTOMOTIVE LIGHTING DEVICE
The invention provides a method for operating an automotive lighting device including the providing a first preliminary current profile, calculating a first preliminary derating time associated to the first preliminary current profile, providing a second preliminary current profile, calculating a second preliminary derating time associated to the second preliminary current profile, feeding the first light module with a first current profile which provides a total amount of current lower than the first preliminary amount of current, and feeding the second light module with a second current profile which provides a total amount of current higher than the second preliminary amount of current.
HARDCOAT DIFFUSER FOR AUTOMOTIVE LIGHT ASSEMBLIES
A light assembly includes a light source and a lens. The lens includes a hardcoat surface that protects the lens. The light source is positioned close to the lens, and a microtexture is defined in the hardcoat material to increase diffusion of the light to overcome the limitations of the close spacing between the lens and the light source. The hardcoat material and microtexture may be applied to both sides of the lens or one side of the lens. The light source may be a plurality of spaced apart LEDs. The microtexture may be applied to the entire surface of the lens or select regions of the lens. The microtexture is defined after the hardcoat is applied, and is defined via removal or disruption of hardcoat material. The microtexture may be defined in different ways to vary the appearance of the microtexture.
Ventilation member
A ventilation member is attached to a through hole of a housing. The ventilation member includes: a support body in which a ventilation path that forms a flow path for gas between the interior and the exterior of the housing; a sealing member that seals between the support body and the housing; a ventilation membrane that is provided on the ventilation path to prevent a liquid and a solid from passing through and to allow gas to pass through; and a surrounding portion that is provided to the support body and is formed with a uniform height to surround an end portion opening of the ventilation path.
Adsorbent system
An adsorbent system including a body having or defining a channel therein, wherein the body is configured to be coupled to a humidity-controlled environment such that a first end of the channel is in selective fluid communication with the ambient environment and such that a second end of the channel is in fluid communication with said humidity-controlled environment. The system further includes an adsorbent material in the channel, wherein the channel and adsorbent material are configured such that inlet fluid flowing from the first end to the second end through the channel is flowable over the adsorbent material, and such that outlet fluid flowing from the second end to the first end is flowable over a majority of the adsorbent material that is flowable over by the inlet fluid. The system also includes a valve system positioned at or adjacent to or in fluid communication with the first end of the channel.

Method of manufacturing light-emitting device
A method of manufacturing a light-emitting device includes: providing a first intermediate structure including a substrate, light-emitting elements arrayed in a first direction, a protective element, and light-transmissive members; forming a resin wall including first and second walls extending in the first direction, and third and fourth walls, a first distance between the first wall and the light-emitting elements being larger than a second distance between the third or fourth wall and a corresponding one of light-emitting elements; applying a first resin to a first region between the first wall and the light-emitting elements in which the protective element is disposed, resulting in forming a first recess in the first region and a second recess in a second region between the second wall and the light-emitting elements; and forming a covering member by applying a second resin to the first and second recesses and curing the first and second resins.
