A flashlight, including: a lens assembly having an adjusting lens; and a light source assembly provided at one side of the lens assembly, the light source assembly comprising a first light source, a second light source, an excitation element, and a light path adjusting element. Light emitted from the first light source irradiates the excitation element to generate first exciting light, and light emitted from the second light source irradiates the excitation element to generate second exciting light. The first exciting light and the second exciting light sequentially pass through the light path adjusting element and the adjusting lens and then are outputted in parallel. The flashlight can integrate the advantages of the first light source and the second light source, to provide the light source with excellent light emitting performance.

Wavelength converting composite member, and light emitting device and electronic instrument employing same
Provided is a wavelength converting composite member including: a disk-shaped substrate; a first wavelength converting member provided on the substrate and containing a first phosphor that radiates fluorescence due to a parity-forbidden transition; and a second wavelength converting member provided on the substrate and containing a second phosphor that radiates fluorescence due to a parity-allowed transition. The first wavelength converting member and the second wavelength converting member are disposed adjacent to each other along the circumferential direction of the substrate. The first wavelength converting member and the second wavelength converting member are provided on the substrate in such a way that the position of the center of gravity of the entirety of the first wavelength converting member and the second wavelength converting member is located on the rotation axis of the substrate. A light emitting device is provided with the wavelength converting composite member.
LASER PHOSPHOR ILLUMINATION SYSTEM USING STATIONARY PHOSPHOR FIXTURE
A laser-excited-phosphor light-source system in which a phosphor plate remains stationary while a laser beam is made to scan across the phosphor plate. In some embodiments, the phosphor-plate assembly includes a plurality of areas each having a different phosphor substance that emits wavelength-converted light in response to excitation from the scanned laser beam and/or a diffusive material. In some embodiments, one or more rotating prisms and/or one or more rotating or oscillating or angularly displaced mirrors are used to deflect the input laser light on the way toward the phosphor plate and to deflect the wavelength-converted and/or diffused light in the opposite direction such that the output beam of wavelength-converted and/or diffused light remains stationary with respect to the phosphor plate as the input laser beam is moved across the surface of the phosphor-plate assembly.
