LED bulb including pulse generator and/or AC/DC converter
A three-way bulb including light emitting diodes is used to achieve a variety of light output colors and/or intensities. In some embodiments, the inputs to a three-way bulb are configured to perform other functions, such as power a motor. In some embodiments, a bulb including light emitting diodes includes a replicable cover and/or a replicable LED. This cover may be configured to project images or support a shade made of a heat sensitive material.
BULB TUBE HOLDER
A bulb tube holder and a method for installing or replacing a bulb tube in an overhead light fixture. The bulb tube holder includes a hollow cylindrical tube that can contain several bulb tubes. A cap secures a top opening of the hollow cylindrical tube. A shoulder strap coupled to the hollow cylindrical tube allows carrying the bulb tube holder on a shoulder. A fastening strap is also provided to secure the bulb tube holder to a supporting structure.
Bulb including removable cover
A three-way bulb including light emitting diodes is used to achieve a variety of light output colors and/or intensities. In some embodiments, the inputs to a three-way bulb are configured to perform other functions, such as power a motor. In some embodiments, a bulb including light emitting diodes includes a replicable cover and/or a replicable LED. This cover may be configured to project images or support a shade made of a heat sensitive material.
Vehicle lamp base having integrally formed spring to bias reflector
A vehicle lamp capsule 32 having a base 34 having a spring 5 which, when lamp capsule 32 is installed, biases an inner surface of a vehicle lamp reflector 12. Spring 5 is monolithically formed with base 34 along with at least one reflector-locating structure on the base such as circumferentially extending exterior locating surface 44 and/or retaining keys 42. Base 34 and spring 5 may be molded of a plastics material. In other embodiments base 34 and spring 5 are made in one piece of sheet metal. The spring 5 formed unitary with the lamp base 34 meets regulatory requirements and avoids a risk of dislodgement of a conventional separate piece-part metal spring which could cause an electrical short when the lamp is installed in the field. The lamp capsule 32 is suitably an H13-style lamp.
Portable Lighting Devices
A flashlight uses a reverse battery protection circuit to prevent current from flowing in a power control circuit when at least one battery is held in a reversed orientation, rather than a correct orientation, in a battery compartment of the flashlight.
LED bulb including digital signal processor
A bulb including light emitting diodes is optionally used to achieve a variety of light output colors and/or intensities. The bulb may include a digital signal processor and/or a timer.
Fastening system for luminaires, in particular for recessed ceiling and wall luminaires
An assembly set for recessed ceiling and wall luminaires, comprises a mounting sleeve and a luminaire housing, which is adapted to be installed in the mounting sleeve, the mounting sleeve being mountable in a wall or ceiling opening. The mounting sleeve is provided with contact portions extending, on the side of the mounting sleeve facing away from the wall or ceiling opening, perpendicular to a wall of the mounting sleeve into the interior of the latter. The luminaire housing comprises at least two locking elements extending beyond the circumference of the luminaire housing, wherein the locking elements of the luminaire housing engage behind the contact portions of the mounting sleeve at the fixing position, and the locking elements are operatively connected to handles in the interior of the luminaire housing such that the locking elements can be transferred from the fixing position to a release position by moving the handles towards each other.
Portable Lighting Devices
A flashlight uses a reverse battery protection circuit to prevent current from flowing in a power control circuit when at least one battery is held in a reversed orientation, rather than a correct orientation, in a battery compartment of the flashlight.
Portable lighting devices
A method for increasing battery life in a lighting device powered by a battery source in which an electronic circuit is caused to provide a declining power supply to a light emitting diode (LED) as a power profile of the battery source declines.
Apparatus for creating a storage compartment in a flashlight and method of its use
A storage compartment for a flashlight with a cylindrical barrel, a tail cap and a conductive spring fitted to the tail cap. The conductive spring is removed from the tail cap and fitted to the barrel end of a cylindrical compartment which has an outer diameter substantially the same as that of the barrel and then the tail cap is threaded into a tail cap end of the cylindrical compartment, thus sealing off an inner compartment.
