LIGHTING ASSEMBLY AND ILLUMINATION SYSTEM HAVING A LIGHTING ASSEMBLY

A lighting assembly includes an upper mount having a pan gear and a plurality of indicator flanges. A lower mount is operably coupled to the lower mount and includes a pan motor and a tilt motor. A printed circuit board is operably coupled to the upper mount and includes a plurality of sensors. At least one sensor is selectively and operably coupled with the plurality of indicator flanges of the upper mount. A light module is operably coupled to the lower mount and includes a tilt gear operably coupled to the lower mount. A controller is operably coupled to the printed circuit board, the pan motor, and the tilt motor and is configured to rotate the lower mount and the light module via the pan motor and is configured to tilt the light module via the tilt motor.

FLANGELESS TRIM

A reflector and of a holding-plate slidingly attach to each other to form a flangeless trim assembly. The reflector may be removably attached to a spackle-frame. The spackle-frame may be installed within ceiling drywall around a hole for a downlight. The holding-plate may be attached to a lighting module. In a default resting configuration, a top of the reflector butts up against a bottom of the holding-plate because springs push these two parts towards each other. When an opposing force is applied that is greater than the spring's force, then a variable gap is formed between the reflector and the holding-plate, but while the reflector and the holding-plate are still attached to each other. This gap may be used by human finger(s) to both disengage the reflector from the spackle-frame and to pull down the reflector, the holding-plate, and the lighting module from the spackle-frame—all without tools.

DOWNLIGHT APPARATUS

A downlight apparatus includes a light source, a light housing and a stop unit. The driver box is used for storing a driver. The driver is connected to an external power source to generate a driving current to the light source. The driver box has a wall with an installation escape. The light housing has a light holder and a rim. The light source is stored in the light holder. The rim defines a light opening for a light of the light source to escape. The stop unit is fixed to the installation escape. The stop unit has a switch holder and a wire holder. A manual switch is placed in the switch holder and an enlarged wire head of an power wire is placed in the wire holder. An operation part of the manual switch is exposed outside the driver box. The manual switch is connected to the driver for adjusting a setting of the driver.

Collar for a recessed light fitting

The present disclosures provides a collar for positioning at least partially around a recessed light fitting and between the recessed light fitting and a structural body. The collar comprises a plurality of collar portions each of which are configured to surround a portion of the recessed light fitting.

POLYMER HOUSING FOR A LIGHTING SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR USING SAME

A housing assembly for a recessed lighting system includes a housing with integrally formed cable routing features, mounting features, and alignment features. The integration of multiple features into the housing is enabled by forming the housing from a polymer using an injection molding process instead of sheet metal. For a new construction installation, the housing includes integrally formed bar hanger holders to support and guide bar hangers for installation onto two or more support structures, nail-in features for installation onto a single support structure, and one or more alignment features to position the housing against the single support structure when the nail-in features are used for installation. For a remodel installation, the housing includes a flange to abut a bottom surface of a ceiling and one or more spring clips mounted to the housing to abut a top surface of the ceiling.

Configurable lighting system

A system can configure a luminaire for providing illumination of a selected color temperature, a selected lumen output, or a selected photometric distribution. The luminaire can comprise at least two light sources that have different illumination characteristics, for example different color temperatures, different lumen outputs, or different photometric distributions. The system can configure the luminaire to operate a first of the two light sources, a second of the two light sources, or both of the light sources based on an input. When the luminaire is configured to operate both of the light sources, the luminaire can produce illumination having a color temperature, a lumen output, or a photometric distribution that is different than either of the two light sources.
