Systems and methods for deicing an aircraft landing light may include a metal mesh conductor coupled to a lens of a landing light. The systems and methods may include a power supply, a temperature sensor, a deicing control unit, an aircraft light having a lens, and a mesh coupled to the lens. The temperature sensor may be a microwave resonator sensor configured to sense the temperature of the landing light and send signals to the deicing control unit. The signals may be configured to instruct the deicing control unit to either apply an electric current to the mesh, or cease applying an electric current to the mesh, depending on the landing light temperatures. The deicing control unit may receive landing pulses from a flight control system. The pulses may indicate that the aircraft is landing or has landed.

At least 90% of radiation energy, comprised in the infrared radiation emitted by the at least infrared emitter, is emitted within a predefined wavelength range; and the light transmissive cover allows at least 25%, in particular at least 30%, more particularly at least 45%, of the radiation energy, which is emitted within the predefined wavelength range, to pass through the light transmissive cover.

A stage light with a defogging device includes a light head, in which a mounting plate for fixing a light source and a supporting plate for mounting optical lens are arranged. At a light outlet of the light head a light emitting lens is provided, a light source cavity is formed by the supporting plate, the mounting plate and a side wall of the light head. A blower is arranged in the light source cavity, which is configured to guide airflow into space between the supporting plate and the light emitting lens through an air guiding element. Hot airflow in the light source cavity is guided into the space between the supporting plate and the light emitting lens, so that the temperature of the space between the supporting plate and the light emitting lens is increased, thereby reducing a temperature difference in the light head to avoid water fog.

A lighting module (13) having a light element series connection (15) of several semiconductor light elements (14) is connected to the output (12) of a drive circuit (11). The control means (20) is provided which is configured to adapt a heating condition if a heating requirement is fulfilled. In the heating condition a heating means (26) is activated by the control means (20) to heat the lighting module. The heating requirement is fulfilled when the temperature (T) of the lighting module (13) drops down to a minimum temperature value (Tmin). In so doing an undesired increase of the forward voltage (Vf) of the light element series connection (15) can be avoided.
