Apparatus for a Solar Pathway Light
An apparatus includes a classification of shaded area and a light unit being configured for illumination. A solar panel is configured for at least providing an energy output during exposure of shade being classified by the classification of shaded area. A rechargeable storage device is configured for storing at least a portion of the energy output as stored energy. The stored energy recharges the rechargeable storage device. A safety device is configured for at least protecting the rechargeable storage device from substantial overcharging during exposure of direct sunlight. A cutoff threshold is configured for at least preventing a deep discharging of the rechargeable storage device. An illumination mode comprises at least the rechargeable storage device providing the stored energy, the light unit providing the illumination, the illumination lasting for at least 5 hours, and the cutoff threshold preventing the deep discharging of the rechargeable storage device.
Detector controlled headlight system
An automated headlight system for vehicles replaces the high and low beam with a continuum of beam patterns, with further variable spatial distribution of intensities and color spectrum. The digital-headlight is comprised of a controller, sensors and multiple, individually-controllable light-sources modified by optical-control elements to form narrow-beams which are then combined to create the overall headlamp beam. Utilizing real-time sensor data regarding beings, objects and vehicles in the way-ahead, as well as optional information on the driver, vehicle and environment, the logical controller dynamically adapts the headlight system's illumination so as to provide vehicle operators with optimal visibility while preventing discomfort-glare from reaching the eyes oncoming traffic or pedestrians.
Apparatus for a solar pathway light
An apparatus includes a light emitting diode for at least illuminating a pathway. A rechargeable storage device provides a discharge current to the light emitting diode. A solar panel supplies a charging current to the rechargeable storage device during exposure of scattered light of at most 900 foot-candles. The ratio of the charging current to the discharge current is greater than 0.5. A safety device protects the rechargeable storage device from substantial overcharging during exposure of direct sunlight. A recharging switch supplies the charging current to the rechargeable storage device during a charging mode. A discharging switch supplies the discharge current to the light emitting diode during an illumination mode. A low light sensor effects a switching between the charging mode and the illumination mode.
LAMP AND ILLUMINATED HARDSCAPE
A lamp and a hardscape structure illuminated by the lamp are disclosed. The lamp is formed from a plate to which a light fixture is attached. The plate may have a flange, a decorative face plate and side panels attached to direct light from the fixture along the hardscape on which the lamp is mounted. Mounting is effected by positioning the plate between discrete hardscape elements that are stacked one atop another. A portion of the plate projects out from the structure allowing the fixture to cast light on the structure surface. A light transmitting cover is also provided.
Baseboard luminaire for ambient lighting
The invention provides an elongated lighting element (200) for attachment to a building part (10) selected from the group consisting of a wall (11), a ceiling (12) and a floor (13), wherein the building part (10) comprises a first attachment unit (131) and a first electrical power connector (141), wherein the elongated lighting element has a front side (210) and at the other side of the front side (210) (i) a second attachment unit (231) for forming with the first attachment unit (131) said attachment to said building part (10), (ii) a second electrical power connector (241) for forming an electrical connection with the first electrical power connector (141), and (iii) a plurality of solid state based light sources (250) configured to provide light source light (251) and functionally connected with the second electrical power connector (241).
STEP LIGHT
Disclosed is an outdoor light fixture assembly having a housing, a contact block, and a user serviceable light module. The housing has a first opening for receiving the contact block and a second opening for receiving the user serviceable light module. The contact block has at least one contact and a power wire. The contact block can be disposed relative to the first opening so that the at least one contact is accessible from inside the housing. The user serviceable light module light module is sized and shaped to transition between a connected position and a released position relative to the housing. The user serviceable light module has a cover and a circuit board supporting one or more light emitting diodes and having at least one contact pin. The light emitting diodes are arranged relative to the circuit board to emit light in a direction towards the second opening when the user serviceable light module is in the connected position.

Entry Step Lighting System for Aircraft
An entry step lighting system for a deployable aircraft stairway. The system includes steps that having integrated light sources that direct and provide illumination to the steps. Some light sources illuminate strip lenses which indicate proximity to the step edges. Light emitted by a second group of light sources is directed into an angled face established on a riser wall between each step. The light bounces off of each angled face to illuminate the step below.
Optical device and lighting device comprising the optical device
The present invention discloses an optical device (100) and a lighting device for illuminating two intersecting surfaces (S1, S2). The optical device (100) comprises a first light guiding structure (120) for redirecting light from a light source (200) into a first direction and a second light guiding structure (130) for redirecting light from the light source (200) into a second direction different from the first direction, wherein the optical device (100) is arranged to prevent light from the light source (200) from being redirected in a direction between the first and second directions. By positioning the lighting device (100) at the intersection of two surfaces (S1, S2) such as can be found in a step, or at a corner of a wall, or at a corner inside a closet, or on the intersection area of ceilings, the two intersecting surfaces can be illuminated at the same time with comfortable light distribution, using a simple structure that can be easily installed.
