A ceiling fan includes a rotatable hub adapted to be suspended from the ceiling. The hub includes at least one fan blade adapted for rotating with the hub. An uplight module is provided having a plurality of different lights, each of the plurality of lights for producing a different type of light incident on the ceiling. The uplight module may include a modular circuit board assembly comprising a main board including one or more LEDs and one or more auxiliary boards connected to the main board and including one or more UV LEDs, whereby adaptation for producing germicidal energy can be achieved without dismounting the ceiling fan from the ceiling. A controller may be provided for controlling the light intensity or temperature, including from pre-selected values. Related methods are also disclosed.

The present invention relates to a decorative lighting panel for mounting to a home exterior via mounting holes, brackets, bolts, etc. The panel has a frame that includes a groove between a front surface and rear surface of the panel. A plurality of illumination sources in the form of LED strips or chips are disposed in the groove, for providing illumination and a retractable plastic cover is designed to reveal the LEDs when pulled down. The plastic cover generally covers the LEDs when illumination is not required. The panel has wireless capabilities allowing a remote control or a handheld electronic device with an installed software application to remotely control the operations of the panel. The panel is designed to be electrically connected to other similar panels to form a series of panels for creating a long segment of illumination.

In some embodiments, the first spectrum has a CCT≥7000K; the second spectrum has a CCT≤6500K. In some embodiments, the first spectrum has a first CCT≥3500K; the second spectrum has a second CCT≤6500K; the second CCT<first CCT and the difference between the CCTs is at least 1000K. In some embodiments, the first spectrum has a color bounded by a first set of chromaticity coordinates, and the second spectrum has a color bounded by a second set.

With the lighted exterior door handle assembly mounted at the door of the equipped vehicle, and when the illumination sources are actuated with the door of the equipped vehicle locked, the light module emits light in a second pattern that is different from the first pattern.

A control module controls an intensity of the light sub-beam from each of the solid-state light emitters such that the resulting combined spectral profile of the output light beam is representative of a natural light spectral profile of the target natural light over its visible portion.
