SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CLEANING A HEAT EXCHANGER
Methods and systems for cleaning inner surfaces of tubes in a heat exchanger. Some systems include a cleaning device having a nozzle configured to inject cleaning fluid into first and second tubes to perform different first and second cleaning cycles on the tubes, respectively, a controller configured to determine delivery parameters for the cleaning cycles based on a characteristic of each tube, and to control the cleaning device to perform the cleaning cycles based on the delivery parameters. Some methods include determining, with a controller, a tube in the heat exchanger engaged with a nozzle of a cleaning device for injecting a cleaning fluid into the tube during a cleaning cycle, a characteristic of the tube, and a delivery parameter of the cleaning cycle for the tube based on the characteristic of the tube; and performing the cleaning cycle for the tube based on the delivery parameter.
Method for conditioning a power-generating circulatory system of a power plant
A method for conditioning the circulatory system (1) of a power plant is especially suited for a nuclear power plant. An amine, which is a film-forming agent, is metered into the working medium circulating in the circulatory system. The film-forming agent forms a hydrophobic film on the surfaces of the circulatory system. During the process, the concentration of the film-forming agent is monitored in at least one measuring point by way of measurement, and metering of the film-forming agent is stopped once its concentration in the working medium has reached a value of 1 ppm to 2 ppm in at least one measuring point M1.

FLEXIBLE LANCE FOR MACHINING OR INSPECTING A TUBESHEET OF A BOILER
The invention relates to a flexible lance for machining or inspecting a tubesheet of a boiler, having a first strip made of a flexible, metallic material and a second strip made of a flexible, metallic material, wherein the second strip is arranged on the first strip in the longitudinal direction, and wherein at least the second strip has a shaped portion extending in the longitudinal direction for receiving a supply line for a machining or inspection head arranged at the free end of the flexible lance, and wherein the first strip is connected to the second strip such that an open side of the shaped portion is covered by the first strip so as to form a guide channel, and wherein at least one edge region of the flexible lance, extending in the longitudinal direction, is formed only by the first strip or the second strip.
Steam generator sludge lance apparatus
A sludge lance for a tube and shell steam generator that has a central divider plate that extends substantially the length of a central tube lane substantially bisecting a hand hole through which the tube lane can be accessed. The sludge lance has a nozzle with a spring biased, reciprocally movable plunger that extends against the divider plate and is locked in position by a stream of high pressure cleaning fluid that traverses the nozzle and exits through jets to clean sludge from between the tubes. An alignment tool with a swing arm indexes the jets to assure they are properly aligned with the tube rows and spaced from the divider plate.

An alignment tool with a swing arm indexes the jets to assure they are properly aligned with the tube rows and spaced from the divider plate.
Method for cleaning and conditioning the water-steam circuit of a power plant, especially of a nuclear power plant
A method for cleaning and conditioning the water-steam circuit of a power plant, especially of a nuclear power plant, uses an amine as a film-forming agent. The amine is metered into the working medium circulating in the water-steam circuit. The film-forming agent forms a hydrophobic film on the surfaces of the circuit. During the process, the concentration of at least one impurity contained in the water and the concentration of the film-forming agent in at least in the feed water of the steam generator are measured and monitored. The concentration of the film-forming agent is varied, as needed, subject to the concentration of the impurity.
