COMBUSTOR INLET MIXING SYSTEM WITH SWIRLER VANES HAVING SLOTS
A combustor inlet mixing system (10) formed from a plurality of circumferentially spaced swirler vanes (38) extending radially outward from a nozzle hub. Each of the swirler vanes (38) may have a length (62) that extends downstream along at least a portion of the combustor inlet mixing system (10), and may further have a thickness (66) that extends along a circumference of the nozzle hub. At least one of the swirler vanes (38) may further have at least one slot (42) cut entirely through the thickness (66) of a portion of the swirler vane (38). The slot (42) may separate the swirler vane (38) from the nozzle hub along a portion of the length (62) of the swirler vane (38).
Twirling Flame Heater
This is an upright heater igniting combustible gas to induce a naturally aspirated flame within a glass tube. Air channels producing the naturally aspirated flame enters the glass tube in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the flame thus creating a twirling flame. Heat waves generated by the twirling flame within a glass tube rises to a heat concentrator and projected onto a parabolic heat shield thus reflecting the heat wave radially downward and outward.
External combustion heat engine combustion chamber
A device is disclosed herein which provides a domed cover of a combustion chamber enclosure applicable for use in Stirling Cycle engines, Ericsson Cycle engines, Rankine Cycle engines or other external combustion heat engine types which allows for the free flow of combustion air from the outer margins of the device toward the combustion air inlet in a vortexual fluid flow to achieve a more balanced stoichiometric ratio of the fuel/air mixture before ignition. This may be achieved by the employment of vanes to direct combustion air in a swirling vortexual flow as the combustion air enters the combustion chamber. Thermal barrier coatings and insulative materials may also be employed to minimize parasitic heat loss.
Nozzle Configured To Deliver Gas Into Incinerator
A nozzle (1) is configured to deliver gas into an incinerator such as a waste incinerator (3). The nozzle includes a nozzle pipe (20) and a swirl generator (21). The swirl generator includes a plurality of angularly spaced vanes (24) that are attached to an inner surface (19) of the pipe. The vanes terminate radially inwardly at respective vane inner surfaces (36). A continuous central passage (25) extends axially between the vane inner surfaces. Utilization of the swirl nozzles in connection with an incinerator provide improved gas mixing and avoid having regions with insufficient air to achieve complete combustion.
Burner device
A burner device for supplying a mixture of a fuel gas and a combustion-supporting gas into a combustion region includes: a mixing path configured to inject the mixture from a downstream end portion of the mixing path into the combustion region; a fuel gas injection nozzle configured to inject the fuel gas into the mixing path toward the combustion region; and a combustion-supporting gas supply swirler configured to inject the combustion-supporting gas such that at least a part of the combustion-supporting gas collides directly with the fuel gas injected from the fuel gas injection nozzle, in a direction of a tangent line that is tangent to a fuel injection hole of the fuel gas injection nozzle on a cross-section.
PELLET COOKING STATION AND SYSTEM FOR IGNITING PELLETS AND METHOD THEREOF
A heating system configured to employ pellets as a fuel source for cooking and configured to be initially ignited with a gas fuel. The heating system including a gas line configured to feed gas to a fire pot. The fire pot being located in a main body. The fire pot includes one or more screens to define a region within the fire pot such that the one or more screens are sized and configured to block pellets from entering the region. Further, the gas line is associated with a mixing structure configured to mix the gas fuel and oxygen together.
SWIRL-PINTLE INJECTOR FOR OXY-COAL COMBUSTOR
A swirl pintle coal slurry injector including a main body including at least one gas inlet; a pintle coupled to the main body, wherein the pintle comprises at least one coal slurry inlet and at least one slurry outlet, wherein the pintle defines a pintle axis; and a swirler coupled to the main body, wherein the swirler imparts to a gas from the at least one gas inlet of the main body a circular motion around the pintle axis, wherein the swirler surrounds the pintle axis and comprises a swirler number of approximately 1.2. The pintle can include a plurality of orifices of approximately 5 mm diameter.
FUEL NOZZLE AND SWIRLER
An engine can utilize a combustor to combust fuel to drive the engine. A fuel nozzle assembly can supply fuel to the combustor for combustion or ignition of the fuel. The fuel nozzle assembly can include a swirler and a fuel nozzle to supply a mixture of fuel and air for combustion. The fuel nozzle assembly can be configured to increase lateral provision of fuels to reduce flame scrubbing on combustor liners for the combustor.
Swirler
The inventive concept relates to a swirler. According to an aspect of the inventive concept, there is provided a swirler including a casing, a pilot body disposed in the casing, and a plurality of vanes arranged along a circumference of the pilot body, wherein at least a part of the vane protrudes further to a downstream than an end portion of the pilot body.
Lean premix burner having center gas nozzle
A lean premix burner has a center fire nozzle, which includes radial gas outlets and a ring of outlets. The gas outlets from the center fire nozzle are fed from a manifold. The center fire gas is controlled separately from the main gas supply, which has several advantages, including enhanced turn down capability.
