BURNER FOR GENERATING A FLAME FOR THE COMBUSTION OF PROCESS GAS AND EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT DEVICE WITH A BURNER
The invention relates to a burner as well as to a waste gas treatment device for generating a flame for the combustion of process gas, especially of contaminants, in a combustion chamber, in each case having feed lines for a fuel gas and for an oxidizing agent so that they flow into a pre-mixing chamber, and having an ignition device for igniting the gas mixture contained in the pre-mixing chamber. According to the invention, a sensor for detecting and/or monitoring the flame is provided on the burner, especially at one end of the burner situated opposite from the pre-mixing chamber.
Combustion apparatus
A combustion apparatus has a burner including a burner body and a combustion plate, as well as a combustion box. A combustion plate flange part projects outward beyond an inner rim of a body flange part and beyond an inner rim of a combustion box flange part. A packing has a portion interposed between the combustion plate flange part and the body flange part, and a portion interposed between the combustion box flange part and the body flange part outside an outer rim of the combustion plate flange part. A distribution plate having formed therein a multiplicity of distribution holes for introducing the air-fuel mixture toward an air-fuel mixture ejection part is provided with a distribution plate flange part so arranged as to come into direct contact with that portion of the combustion plate flange part which is positioned inside an inner rim of the packing.
HORIZONTALLY FIRED BURNER SYSTEM
A horizontally-fired burner system includes, in a combustion volume, a distal flame holder, the distal flame holder including a plurality of columns each formed from a respective plurality of refractory tiles, and a fuel and combustion air source configured to output a flammable fuel and air mixture toward the distal flame holder. The distal flame holder is configured to hold a combustion reaction adjacent to each of the plurality of columns.
Inner swirling flame gas burner
A gas burner having a combustion chamber with a bottom and a circumferential wall. A plurality of fuel exit ports are disposed in the circumferential wall, and are directed generally inwardly toward the combustion chamber and upwardly from the bottom of the combustion chamber. The fuel exit ports are preferably directed inwardly at an angle that is slightly rotated from a central axis of the burner to create a swirling flame. A plurality of secondary air inlets extend through the bottom of the combustion chamber. An injector orifice is aligned with the central axis of the burner. The injector orifice is secured to the cooktop using a bracket, which has an orifice-securing surface, with two sidewalls extending therefrom and terminating in fastening flanges. The fastening flanges have asymmetrically arranged slots therein to receive tabs extending from the burner to ensure proper alignment of the burner and the injector orifice.
COMBUSTION SYSTEM INCLUDING A MIXING TUBE AND A FLAME HOLDER
A combustion system includes a fuel distributor configured to output a fuel, an oxidant source configured to output an oxidant, and a mixing tube defining a mixing volume aligned to receive the fuel and oxidant. The mixing tube is shaped to convey the fuel and the oxidant through the mixing volume at a bulk velocity higher than a flame propagation speed. The combustion system includes a flame holder aligned to receive the mixed fuel and oxidant and to support a combustion reaction of the fuel and the oxidant.
System for combusting a methane stream and a method of combustion
A system for combusting a methane stream in an ITM combustion reactor and a method of combusting the methane stream, wherein an optimized volumetric flow rate of the methane stream provides an off-stoichiometric molar ratio of methane to oxygen, which is provided by an ITM in the ITM combustion reactor, and the method further offers a relatively constant oxygen flux via the ITM as well as a prolonged membrane stability. Various embodiments of the system and the method are also provided.
FIRE DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHODS
Systems and methods for a fire device forming at least one stream of flames within a center housing, and directing the at least one stream of flames through one or more apertures formed into an upper surface of the center housing and vertically above the center housing. In some examples, one or more gaseous fuel streams are injected towards the at least one stream of flames and above the center housing via fuel injection ports positioned outside of the center housing.
Gas burner assembly for a cooktop appliance
A gas burner assembly has a first fuel chamber within a burner body and this is contiguous with a plurality of inner flame ports. A second fuel chamber within the burner body is contiguous with a plurality of outer flame ports. A first supply duct extends between the first fuel chamber and a carryover duct. A second supply duct extends between the second fuel chamber and the carryover duct. A related cooktop appliance is also provided.
