Surface combustion burner, composite burner, and ignition device for sintering machine
Provided is a surface combustion burner which solves the passage blocking in a combustion part caused by dust, and enables stable combustion for a long term. The surface combustion burner comprises: a nozzle configured to discharge fuel gas and air for combustion; and a laminate, provided on a tip of the nozzle, in which a plurality of mesh plates is laminated, wherein the laminate includes a portion having an offset arrangement between at least any adjacent ones of the mesh plates.
Radiant infrared gas burner
Methods and devices for gas mixture combustion on a surface of a permeable matrix are provided which produce or result in surface stabilized combustion (SSC) with increasing amounts of radiation energy emitted by the matrix surface and decreasing concentrations of pollutant components in the combustion products. The gas mixture is fed to a burner that includes a permeable matrix material having a first thermal conductivity and configured to preheat the combustible gas mixture as it travels through the matrix. The burner includes a plurality of thermal elements having a thermal conductivity higher than and disposed in thermal transfer communication with the matrix base material. The permeable matrix base material forms a combustion surface with at least a portion of the thermal elements exposed above the combustion surface. The gas mixture is combusted at or near exit pores and channels formed at the permeable matrix material combustion surface.
Infrared radiator and method of assembling same
An infrared radiator for the heat treatment of a material web has an incandescent body with a flow-receiving surface that is subjected to a flow of a gas-air mixture supplied to the infrared radiator and heated by combustion of the gas-air mixture. The incandescent body is manufactured as a sheet material formed of a multiplicity of threads and connecting elements that at least indirectly connect the threads to one another. The connecting elements at least partially engage around the threads and thus connect them at least indirectly to one another. The connecting elements are configured in such a way that they may be detached from the connection with the threads, preferably by hand, while breaking up the sheet material.
A SOL-GEL MATERIAL, AND USE THEREOF
A thermophotovoltaic (TPV) system, comprises a substrate, an emitter material adhered to the substrate, and a thermophotovoltaic (TPV) cell. The emitter material is a typically a metal oxide doped nickel oxide sol-gel material, in which the metal is magnesium or zirconium, and in which the sol-gel material comprises 97-99 mol % metal oxide, and about 1-3 mol % nickel oxide dopant. Providing an emitter material as a sol-gel allows the material to be coated on to surfaces providing better adherence to the surface, and also provides excellent heat stability. A sol-gel material is also described.
THERMOPHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A system including a first cylindrical structure embedded into a second cylindrical structure. The first cylindrical structure includes a combustion chamber. The first cylinder additionally includes a plurality of plasmonic materials on an outer wall of the first cylindrical structure. The second cylindrical structure includes a plurality of photovoltaic cells on an inner wall of the second cylindrical structure. A radius of the second cylindrical structure is greater than a radius of the first cylindrical structure.
Immersion-type burner heater and molten-metal holding furnace
An immersion-type burner heater includes a heater protection tube that is installed so as to penetrate a furnace wall or an upper lid of the molten-metal holding furnace with the tip end thereof being closed; an inner cylindrical member arranged inside the tube so as to define a combustion flow passage S between the tube and itself with the tip end side thereof being open and the inside thereof serving as an exhaust gas flow passage; and a gas burner part supplying fuel gas and air to the combustion flow passage. A helically extending projecting part is provided on at least one of the outer peripheral surface of the member and the inner peripheral surface of the tube at a position that is closer to its tip end side than to the part penetrating the furnace wall or the upper lid.
HORIZONTALLY FIRED BURNER SYSTEM
A horizontally-fired burner system includes, in a combustion volume, a distal flame holder, the distal flame holder including a plurality of columns each formed from a respective plurality of refractory tiles, and a fuel and combustion air source configured to output a flammable fuel and air mixture toward the distal flame holder. The distal flame holder is configured to hold a combustion reaction adjacent to each of the plurality of columns.
HEATER AND COOKWARE FOR FLAMELESS CATALYTIC COMBUSTION
A heater or article of cookware is formed of a metal sheet with a first and second surface. A metal oxide layer is formed on the first surface of the sheet and a combustion catalyst is impregnated into the metal oxide layer. Fuel and air is then supplied to the first side of the metal sheet resulting in flameless catalytic combustion which heats the metal sheet.
SURFACE COMBUSTION BURNER, COMPOSITE BURNER, AND IGNITION DEVICE FOR SINTERING MACHINE
