COMBUSTION SYSTEM FOR A BOILER WITH FUEL STREAM DISTRIBUTION MEANS IN A BURNER AND METHOD OF COMBUSTION
A combustion system comprising a burner for supplying a mixed flow of fuel and primary air or gas through at least one fuel nozzle to a combustion chamber, a duct in fluid communication with the at least one fuel nozzle for guiding the mixed flow to the at least one fuel nozzle, and a deflector device positioned within the duct upstream of the at least one fuel nozzle to deflect the incoming mixed flow. The deflector device comprises ejection means arranged to eject an auxiliary gas into the duct to deflect the incoming mixed flow in a direction from a center to outer areas of the duct to increase the concentration of the mixed flow in outer areas of the fuel nozzle and decrease the concentration of the mixed flow in the center section of the fuel nozzle.

Burner device
A burner device for supplying a mixture of a fuel gas and a combustion-supporting gas into a combustion region includes: a mixing path configured to inject the mixture from a downstream end portion of the mixing path into the combustion region; a fuel gas injection nozzle configured to inject the fuel gas into the mixing path toward the combustion region; and a combustion-supporting gas supply swirler configured to inject the combustion-supporting gas such that at least a part of the combustion-supporting gas collides directly with the fuel gas injected from the fuel gas injection nozzle, in a direction of a tangent line that is tangent to a fuel injection hole of the fuel gas injection nozzle on a cross-section.
LOW NOX AND CO COMBUSTION BURNER METHOD AND APPARATUS
Emissions of NO.sub.X and/or CO are reduced at the stack by systems and methods wherein a primary fuel is thoroughly mixed with a specific range of excess combustion air. The primary fuel-air mixture is then discharged and anchored within a combustion chamber of a burner. Further, the systems and methods provide for dynamically controlling NO.sub.X content in emissions from a furnace by adjusting the flow of primary fuel and of a secondary stage fuel, and in some cases controlling the amount or placement of combustion air into the furnace.
COMBUSTOR
A combustor includes: a housing having an annular shape of which one end side is open and of which the other end side is closed; at least one introduction portion that introduces a fuel and an oxidizing gas into the housing to generate a tubular flow; and an ignition unit that ignites the fuel introduced into the housing. The ignition unit includes a discharge electrode and a ground electrode. A space that the fuel and the oxidizing gas reach is provided between the discharge electrode and the ground electrode.
COMBUSTOR SWIRL VANE APPARATUS
A swirler apparatus for a combustor, including: primary and secondary swirlers disposed axially adjacent to each other along a swirler centerline; the primary swirler including a plurality of primary swirl vanes arrayed around the swirler centerline, each primary swirl vane including opposed sides bounded between opposed forward and aft edges and opposed leading and trailing edges; wherein the forward edge is oriented at a first vane angle with respect to a radial direction; wherein the aft edge is oriented at a second vane angle with respect to the radial direction; wherein the second vane angle is different from the first vane angle; and the secondary swirler including a plurality of secondary swirl vanes arrayed around the swirler centerline.
