INLET ASSEMBLY FOR AN ABATEMENT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF CONVEYING AN EFFLUENT TO AN ABATEMENT CHAMBER
An inlet assembly for an abatement apparatus includes: an effluent stream conduit configured to convey an effluent stream along a major direction of flow within the effluent stream conduit; an inlet nozzle fluidly coupled with the effluent stream conduit and configured to convey the effluent stream received from the effluent stream conduit to an abatement chamber of the abatement apparatus; and a baffle interposed between the effluent stream conduit and the inlet nozzle, the baffle being shaped and configured to redirect flow of the effluent stream from the effluent stream conduit into the inlet nozzle by inhibiting effluent stream flow along the major direction of flow into the inlet nozzle. A line-of-sight flow from the effluent stream conduit into the inlet nozzle is prevented by the baffle and the effluent stream instead follows a non-line-of-sight or diversionary path from the effluent stream conduit into the inlet nozzle, which improves DRE.
Fuel cell system and tail gas burner assembly and method
The present invention is concerned with improved swirl burners, particularly, but not limited to, swirl burners used in fuel cell systems.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRYING MATERIAL AND ASPHALT MIXING FACILITY HAVING SUCH AN APPARATUS
An apparatus for drying material for an asphalt mixing facility includes a rotary kiln rotatably drivable about an axis of rotation, in which the material is dried, wherein the rotary kiln has a material inlet and a material outlet, a heating unit coupled to the rotary kiln for feeding heat to the rotary kiln, wherein the heating unit is designed with a burner which has a burner housing having a longitudinal axis, an air duct arranged at the burner housing for feeding air, a swirling element for swirling the air in the burner housing relative to the longitudinal axis, a hydrogen gas line connected to the burner for feeding hydrogen gas into the burner, wherein a hydrogen gas nozzle is connected to the hydrogen gas line for discharging the hydrogen gas, a burner head arranged at the burner housing for generating a burner flame.
COMBUSTOR
A combustor includes: a housing having an annular shape of which one end side is open and of which the other end side is closed; at least one introduction portion that introduces a fuel and an oxidizing gas into the housing to generate a tubular flow; and an ignition unit that ignites the fuel introduced into the housing. The ignition unit includes a discharge electrode and a ground electrode. A space that the fuel and the oxidizing gas reach is provided between the discharge electrode and the ground electrode.
COMBUSTOR SWIRL VANE APPARATUS
A swirler apparatus for a combustor, including: primary and secondary swirlers disposed axially adjacent to each other along a swirler centerline; the primary swirler including a plurality of primary swirl vanes arrayed around the swirler centerline, each primary swirl vane including opposed sides bounded between opposed forward and aft edges and opposed leading and trailing edges; wherein the forward edge is oriented at a first vane angle with respect to a radial direction; wherein the aft edge is oriented at a second vane angle with respect to the radial direction; wherein the second vane angle is different from the first vane angle; and the secondary swirler including a plurality of secondary swirl vanes arrayed around the swirler centerline.
COMBUSTOR SWIRL VANE APPARATUS
