SENSOR NETWORK

A sensor network system for determining a chimney maintenance schedule comprises a sensor unit (16) arranged for placement in or proximate to a chimney (6). The sensor unit comprises at least one sensor arranged to measure a parameter of the chimney (6) and use the measured parameter to generate chimney health data associated with the chimney (6). The sensor unit includes a transmission module arranged to transmit (20) the chimney health data to a remote analysis unit (18). The remote analysis unit (18) is arranged to receive chimney profile data associated with the chimney (6) and to estimate a chimney health level associated with the chimney (6) from the respective chimney health data and chimney profile data. The remote analysis unit (18) determines the chimney maintenance schedule from the estimated chimney health level.

Inspection and repair module

The invention relates to an inspection and repair module for an internal side wall of a vertically erected structure, with the module including a carrier for supporting at least one data recording mechanism and being securable to a hoist, and for an inspection and repair module for an internal wall of a conduit with the module including propulsion means comprising a set of driven tracked wheels controllable by a controller carried by the carrier and configured to provide, within a conduit, longitudinal forward and reverse motion.

Heat Exchange Flue and Heat Exchange Device
20220178536 · 2022-06-09 ·

A heat exchange flue, having a top flue gas chamber (1), a bottom flue gas chamber (10) and a heat exchange section (H) located therebetween. The heat exchange section (H) comprises a heat exchange tube bundle (4) located in the middle, and a left side flue (5) and a right side flue (12) which are located at two sides of the heat exchange tube bundle (4). The axis of the heat exchange tube bundle (4) is positioned in a vertical plane extending substantially forward and backward, allowing the flue gas to laterally flush against the surfaces of heat exchange tubes. The left and right side flues (5, 12) are in a vertical box shape, the flues are each provided with a plurality of flue gas dampers (3) which are vertically arranged at intervals in a substantially horizontal alignment. Each of the flue gas dampers (3) is provided with a flue gas damper frame (13) for defining a flue gas port (2) and a flue gas port opening/closing device capable of selectively opening and closing the flue gas port (2). The flue gas damper frames (13) are hollow out and horizontally arranged, and have an outer contour consistent with the sectional shape of the left and right side flues (5, 12), the peripheral edges thereof are respectively connected to a peripheral flue gas wall in an airtight manner, and the parts thereof corresponding to the heat exchange tube bundle (4) are connected to a substantially horizontal flue gas shield plate (6) in an airtight manner. The flue structure can adjust the working load to the greatest extent to ensure the flue gas temperature and prevent condensation.

Vent monitoring system

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a vent monitoring system that includes a first sensor configured to provide feedback indicative of an amount of a substance accumulated in the vent, a second sensor configured to provide feedback indicative of a temperature in the vent, and a control system communicatively coupled to the first sensor and the second sensor, where the control system is configured to generate a notification when the feedback from the first sensor exceeds a first target level and when the feedback from the second sensor exceeds a second target level.

A method of installing an exhaust tube is implemented by inserting an exhaust tube into an exhaust pipe that leads from the inside of a building to the outside thereof. Utilizing an already-placed exhaust pipe, a new exhaust tube is inserted into this exhaust pipe. The exhaust tube is installed according to a procedure of: performing, on the inside of the building, an operation of inserting a new exhaust tube into the already-placed exhaust pipe; performing, on the outside of the building, an operation of fixing the inserted exhaust tube to the exhaust pipe; and performing, on the inside of the building, an operation of connecting the fixed exhaust tube to an exhaust vent of a combustion apparatus.

DEVICE FOR CLEANING AND REMOTELY INSPECTING A CHIMNEY
20170059157 · 2017-03-02 ·

A device for cleaning a chimney preferably includes a rod assembly, cleaning arms, fan blades, a camera, and a stabilizing/positioning assembly. The cleaning arms are provided on an assembly that includes a rotatable hub with the cleaning arms extending from the hub. The fan blades may also extend from the hub or they may be provided separately. The camera is continuously rotatable around the longitudinal axis to allow an uninterrupted 360 scan of the chimney. The stabilizing/positioning assembly is effective to position the cleaning assembly hub a pre-selected stabilizing/positioning distance from an interior wall of a chimney while the hub rotates in the chimney. The cleaning and fan hub(s) is driven by a cable surrounded by a casing that allows the cable to rotate in the casing without rotating the casing. Controls allow the operator to control the speed and direction of the cleaning arms and the camera.
