Flue damper having a float coupled to a damper gate
A flue damper may include a flue pipe with a first side leading to an outlet of the flue damper and a second side leading to an inlet of the flue damper. A damper gate may be included and have an open state and a closed state, where in the open state, the first side of the flue pipe is in fluid communication with the second side, and where in the closed state, the damper gate interrupts fluid communication between the first side and the second side. A float may be secured to an upper surface of the damper gate. The upper surface of the damper gate may face the first side of the flue pipe when the damper gate is in the closed state such that the damper gate at least partially opens when condensate collects within the first side of the flue pipe.
FLUE SYSTEMS FOR FUEL BURNING DEVICES
An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a flue gas outlet assembly including a flue gas inlet configured to connect to an exhaust outlet of a fuel burning device, a flue gas outlet, and a flue pipe condensate drain assembly including a condensate inlet, a condensate outlet, and a float valve disposed between the condensate inlet and the condensate outlet, the float valve including a bullet-shaped float, wherein the float valve is biased closed and is configured to open to permit a flow of condensate from the condensate inlet to the condensate outlet upon a sufficient amount of condensate collecting proximate the float valve.
Systems, devices, and/or methods for managing condensate
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a system, machine, device, and/or manufacture that is configured for operably releasing condensate received from a condensate-producing unit toward a drain without allowing a substantial quantity of gas to flow through the system, machine, device, and/or manufacture, those embodiments including a float and/or a housing.
CONDENSATE DRAIN FOR WATER HEATER
An assembly for a water heater having a burner includes a tube extending longitudinally along a centerline from a first end adjacent the burner to a second end. The first end includes a flared portion extending away from the centerline. A partition is provided downstream of the burner and includes an opening having a curved flange defining an opening for receiving the flared portion of the tube.
Fume exhaust assembly and gas water heater
A fume exhaust assembly for a gas water heater. The fume exhaust assembly comprises a fume exhaust hood; the fume exhaust hood is provided with a fume exhaust pipe; the fume exhaust pipe and the fume exhaust hood are integrally formed. By means of integral formation, an assembly operation for the fume exhaust pipe and the fume exhaust hood is saved, an assembly procedure of a gas water heater product is simplified, and thus the production efficiency of the gas water heater product can be improved.
FLUE DAMPER WITH A DRAINAGE PORT
A flue damper may include a vent pipe with a first side leading to an outlet of the flue damper and a second side leading to an inlet of the flue damper. A damper gate of the flue damper may be movable between an open state and a closed state, where in the open state, the first side of the vent pipe is in fluid communication with the second side, and where in the closed state, the damper gate interrupts fluid communication between the first side and the second side. A drainage port may also be included, and a plug may be movable relative to the drainage port to selectively seal the drainage port when the damper gate remains in the closed state.
EXHAUST PLUME ABATEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Exhaust plume abatement systems and methods are provided. A representative system, which is configured for use with a heating appliance, incorporates: a housing defining an interior chamber; an exhaust gas inlet configured to receive exhaust gas from the heating appliance; a first heat exchanger, disposed within the interior chamber; a dilution air inlet configured to receive dilution air from outside the housing; an exhaust gas outlet communicating with the interior chamber; wherein the interior chamber is configured to receive the exhaust gas from the exhaust gas inlet and the dilution air to form low humidity exhaust gas, which exhibits a lower humidity than the exhaust gas received from the heating appliance; and wherein the exhaust gas outlet is configured to output the low humidity exhaust gas with no visible exhaust plume.
