A gas turbine engine includes a first combustor having a first fuel nozzle, wherein the first fuel nozzle is configured to supply a water fuel emulsion into the first combustor. The water fuel emulsion includes a water-in-fuel (WIF) emulsion having a plurality of water droplets dispersed in a fuel, wherein the plurality of water droplets is configured to vaporize within the fuel to cause micro-explosions to atomize the fuel, and the atomized fuel is configured to combust to generate a combustion gas. The gas turbine engine further includes a turbine driven by the combustion gas from the first combustor.

Material handling systems for fluids are disclosed herein. The fluid may be a liquid, solution, slurry, or emulsion. The systems receive as inputs the fluid, steam, and water. These feed into a surge tank where additives can be introduced. The steam and water are used to control some physical properties and enable the distribution of the fluid as desired. In particular embodiments, the system is useful for handling materials to be sent to a dual-phase fuel feeder for combustion in a fluidized-bed boiler, the energy being used to generate electricity or in various production processes.

The water is included in a quantity which renders the ammonium nitrate dissolved in the at least one alcohol. The fuel application may include a scrubber application. The scrubber application uses a delivery mechanism to deliver a wet or dry scrubbing agent at a low pressure to a distribution mechanism. The distribution mechanism distributes the scrubbing agent within the scrubbing chamber. The delivery mechanism is adjustable based on properties of a feedstock utilized to deliver the scrubbing agent, properties of a propellant, or properties of the scrubbing application. The distribution mechanism is adjustable based on desired distribution characteristics including shape, size, or velocity of drops, mists, or particles distributed. Location, processes, and by-products associated with output of the scrubbing application may be based on a stage of the scrubbing application.
