Systems and methods for gas valve assembly of an HVAC system

The present disclosure relates to a gas valve assembly for a furnace. The gas valve assembly includes a gas valve including an inlet flange having an outer geometric profile and defining a gas inlet of the gas valve. The gas valve assembly also includes a bracket having a mounting panel, a first support flange, and a second support flange, where the mounting panel extends between and is integral with the first support flange and the second support flange. A slot is formed in the first support flange and defined by a portion of a perimeter of the bracket. The outer geometric profile of the inlet flange corresponds to a profile of the slot, and the slot is configured to receive and abut a portion of the outer geometric profile. A passage is formed in the second support flange and configured to receive a gas flow from the gas valve.

GAS NOZZLE CLEANING METHOD AND SYSTEM
20220397268 · 2022-12-15 ·

A method of cleaning a gas inlet nozzle of an abatement burner combustion chamber. The abatement burner intermittently receives gas for combustion from a feed process. The nozzle comprises a cleaning mechanism including a movable cleaning member for physically removing unwanted deposits from the nozzle. The cleaning member is movable from a retracted first position wherein the cleaning member is outside a path of a flame associated with the nozzle, to a second cleaning position wherein the cleaning member is in a path of the flame associated with the nozzle. The method comprises the steps of: a. identifying when the nozzle is out of use; b. moving the cleaning member from the first position to the second position while the nozzle is out of use; and c. returning the cleaning member to the first position before nozzle is in use.

Water heater

Provided is a water heater including a burner that receives a supply of combustion air from a fan, a heat exchanger having a heat transfer tube, and a combustion chamber case in which a combustion chamber of the burner is formed in the interior thereof and which is to be capable of guiding combustion gas generated by the burner to the heat exchanger. The water heater further includes a unit case that surrounds the combustion chamber case, and a region on the outside of the combustion chamber case within the unit case serves as an air pressure chamber having a higher pressure than the combustion chamber. Thus, combustion gas leakage to the outside can be prevented or suppressed appropriately by means of a simple configuration.

Plug-resistant burner tip and method

A burner tip apparatus which is resistant to plugging, and a staged air method of operation which reduces the peak temperature of the flame of the burner tip to provide low levels of NO.sub.x and other emissions. The burner tip can be used as an auxiliary burner tip for stabilizing a main burner flame, or for other purposes.

The present disclosure discloses a gas mixing device and a gas water heating device. In which, a gas mixing device, comprises: a shell provided with a fuel gas channel for inputting fuel gas, an air channel for inputting air and a gas mixing channel, the fuel gas channel being provided with a first cut-off portion capable of changing a flow area, and the air channel being provided with a second cut-off portion capable of changing a flow area; a moving part movable in the shell, the moving part simultaneously changing the flow areas of the first cut-off portion and the second cut-off portions by moving. The gas mixing device and the gas water heating device can provide a higher regulation ratio, thereby solving the problem that the water temperature is too high in summer.

Method and Apparatus for Eliminating Hydrocarbon Gas Venting from Pneumatic Controllers
20220349575 · 2022-11-03 ·

A method and apparatus which provides the ability to capture natural gas which would otherwise be vented from control valves and use the captured natural gas to power a low pressure pilot light of a burner and/or to power a natural gas engine. In one embodiment, the captured natural gas can be supplemented with an additional supply of natural gas to ensure operation of the pilot and/or natural gas engine in the even that the captured natural gas is not sufficient to provide continuous power of the pilot and/or engine. Optionally, the captured natural gas can be sequestered in a storage vessel.
