MATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEM FOR FLUIDS
Material handling systems for fluids are disclosed herein. The fluid may be a liquid, solution, slurry, or emulsion. The systems receive as inputs the fluid, steam, and water. These feed into a surge tank where additives can be introduced. The steam and water are used to control some physical properties and enable the distribution of the fluid as desired. In particular embodiments, the system is useful for handling materials to be sent to a dual-phase fuel feeder for combustion in a fluidized-bed boiler, the energy being used to generate electricity or in various production processes.
Method for operating a combustion device including injecting a fluid together with diluent fuel to address combustion pulsations
A method for operating a combustion device includes supplying a fuel and an oxidizer into the combustion device and burning them. According to the method, during at least a part of a transient operation, an additional fluid is supplied together with the fuel, and its amount is regulated to counteract combustion pulsations.

ENHANCED FUEL AND METHOD OF PRODUCING ENHANCED FUEL FOR OPERATING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An enhanced fuel, a method of producing such enhanced fuel, and method of using such enhanced fuel for operating internal combustion engine. The fuel includes a mixture of at least one alcohol, water and ammonium nitrate (AN) as a cetane enhancer. The water is included in a quantity which renders the ammonium nitrate dissolved in the at least one alcohol. The fuel further contains dimethylether as an ignition-improver additive, at least one lubricity agent and at least one anti-corrosion agent.

Fuel oxygen conversion unit with a fuel gas separator
A fuel oxygen conversion unit includes a contactor defining a liquid fuel inlet, a stripping gas inlet and a fuel/gas mixture outlet; and a fuel gas separator defining a fuel/gas mixture inlet in flow communication with the fuel/gas mixture outlet of the contactor and an axis. The fuel gas separator further includes a stationary casing; and a separator assembly including a core and a plurality of paddles extending from the core, the separator assembly rotatable about the axis within the stationary casing to separate a fuel/gas mixture received through the fuel/gas mixture inlet into a liquid fuel flow and stripping gas flow.
Silicate mixture and combustion accelerator using the same
A silicate mixture and a combustion accelerator increase combustion efficiency in a combustion engine. The silicate mixture is formed by mixing a first component including one or two or more materials selected from silicon compounds including silicon, glass, and quartz, and a second component including one or two or more materials selected from materials formed by sintering a silicate mineral at a temperature of 1300° C. or higher and 2000° C. or lower and ores emitting a terahertz wave.

Method of optimizing the limitation of dust emissions for gas turbines fueled with heavy fuel oil
Method for optimizing the limitation of dust emissions from a gas turbine or combustion plant comprising a line for supplying liquid fuel oil, a line for generating fuel oil atomizing air, and a central controller, wherein: a first definition step, starting from a nominal temperature of the fuel oil and a nominal pressure ratio of the atomizing air of the fuel oil, and by controlling the injection of the soot inhibitor, of a nominal operating point corresponding to the maximum permissible level of emitted dust; a second step of controlling a first parameter, taken from the group of the fuel oil temperature and the pressure ratio of the fuel oil atomizing air, in order to reach another operating point; and a third step of controlling the soot inhibitor injection to achieve the maximum permissible level of emitted dust.
