COLLECTIVE EXHAUST SYSTEM
The disclosure provides a collective exhaust system capable of safely detecting a closing failure of a check valve of the collective exhaust system. The collective exhaust system includes: multiple combustion devices including blowing parts and exhaust pipes; a collective exhaust duct to which the exhaust pipes of the multiple combustion devices are respectively connected; and check valves respectively provided between the exhaust pipes and the collective exhaust duct. The collective exhaust system is configured to detect a closing failure of the check valves by performing, in a state where one of the blowing parts of the multiple combustion devices is stopped and all the other blowing parts are driven with a predetermined blower capacity, a backflow determination from the collective exhaust duct to the combustion device with the stopped blowing part, and by performing the backflow determination for the multiple combustion devices.
Back Lit Temperature Knob
A backlit temperature control knob for water heater valves used with water heaters and more particularly to gas water heaters provides a way to read the temperature indication not previously known in the art. Some embodiments rely on a thermocouple or thermopile normally used to power a safety magnet with the pilot light system as a source of electrical energy to selectively illuminate a Light Emitting Diode (LED) which directs light through at least a portion of the knob to assist in reading the temperature indications.
Controllers for burner appliances and methods thereof
A burner appliance is disclosed. The burner appliance includes a byproduct sensor in an exhaust flue and/or a barometric pressure sensor to detect an environmental pressure at the burner appliance. By calculating concentrations of combustion byproducts in the exhaust with the byproduct sensor, a controller can adjust blower speed and/or fuel rate to modify combustion efficiency. By calculating the environmental pressure at the burner with the barometric pressure sensor, the controller can adjust blower speed and/or fuel rate to modify combustion efficiency. The barometric-pressure data can also be used to adjust blower speed control bands, thereby calibrating the control bands based on environmental pressure. The environmental pressure can be indicative of altitude and/or weather conditions. Methods of operating said burner appliance are also disclosed.
Water heating device
A water heating device equipped with a housing, a fan and a chamber arranged in the interior of the housing, and screws. The housing has first and second side plates which oppose one another in a first direction and extend from the ends of a back plate along a second direction intersecting the first direction. An opening part is provided in the housing on the side opposite the back plate in the second direction. The fan has a discharge opening, a first flow passage extending along the first direction, and a first flange. The chamber has an intake opening, a second flow passage extending along the first direction, and a second flange. The first and the second flanges are secured by screws. In a planar view, the center axis of the screws is slanted such that a head portion is closer to the opening part than the tip-end portion.
Gas mixing device and gas water heating device
The present disclosure discloses a gas mixing device and a gas water heating device. In which, a gas mixing device, comprises: a shell provided with a fuel gas channel for inputting fuel gas, an air channel for inputting air and a gas mixing channel, the fuel gas channel being provided with a first cut-off portion capable of changing a flow area, and the air channel being provided with a second cut-off portion capable of changing a flow area; a moving part movable in the shell, the moving part simultaneously changing the flow areas of the first cut-off portion and the second cut-off portions by moving. The gas mixing device and the gas water heating device can provide a higher regulation ratio, thereby solving the problem that the water temperature is too high in summer.
Water heater pilot operation
A method of controlling water heater pilot flame ignition includes receiving, by a controller of a water heater, a user input and controlling a pilot gas valve to start a gas flow to a pilot burner in response to the user input. The method further includes, in response to the user input, controlling, by the controller, an igniter to generate an ignition spark for lighting a pilot flame. The method also includes controlling, by the controller, the pilot gas valve to maintain the gas flow to the pilot burner if the pilot flame is lit.
Heating chamber of an outdoor stove
Heating chamber for a portable stove comprises a fixation mechanism for securing, in a leak-free manner, a container such as a bottle to a first surface of the heating chamber; one or more compartments fillable with liquid, typically water, dispensed from the container; a pressure compensation valve; and an outlet configured to release the liquid from the heating chamber.
Gas manifold
A gas manifold allows each distribution chamber to be fed with fuel gas at an appropriate flow rate irrespective of an increase in the number of distribution chambers included in the gas manifold. A gas manifold distributes fuel gas flowing in through an inlet to a plurality of distribution chambers through a main channel. The main channel includes a flow guide that guides the fuel gas toward a maximum distribution chamber and reduces the fuel gas flowing into other distribution chambers. This allows fuel gas at a sufficient flow rate to be fed more easily to the maximum distribution chamber than to the other distribution chambers for a larger number of distribution chambers included in the gas manifold, allowing the plurality of distribution chambers to be fed with fuel gas at appropriate flow rates.
Boiler and the method for controlling combustion of the boiler
The present invention relates to a boiler which determines a clogging degree of an exhaust flue through which combustion gas is discharged and adjusts gas supply amount to maintain its combustibility, and a combustion control method thereof, the method of the present invention including a) setting a target heat value for achieving a target temperature, b) applying a first database on the basis of the target heat value, c) measuring a rotational speed of an air blower and a pneumatic pressure of air introduced by rotation of the air blow, d) applying a second database on the basis of a rotational speed difference, a pneumatic pressure difference, and the target heat value to calculate an estimated flue clogging value according to the target heat value, and a) applying a third database according to the estimated flue clogging value to calculate an opening amount of a gas valve and control gas supply amount.
FLUID HEATING SYSTEM WITH COMBUSTION TRIM LEARNING
A fluid heating system including a burner unit is operated based on feedback control loops. The fluid heating system comprises a burner unit configured to heat a fluid, a sensor configured to sense a characteristic of the appliance, and a controller coupled to the burner unit and the sensor. The controller includes an electronic processor and a memory. The controller is configured to receive a first signal corresponding to the characteristic from the sensor, determine, based on the first signal, a first feedback loop control, control combustion of the burner unit based on the first feedback loop control, determine, based on the first feedback loop control, a second feedback loop control, and control combustion of the burner unit based on the second feedback loop control.
