Apparatus for Controlling an Air Inlet Valve for a Solid Fuel Burner
Apparatus for controlling the flow of air through an air inlet in a solid fuel burner comprises: a mechanical temperature sensor for sensing the temperature within the solid fuel burner, the sensor comprising first and second elongate parts having different coefficients of linear thermal expansion and arranged such that a first end of the first elongate part moves linearly relative to a first end of the second elongate part in response to a change in the sensed temperature; a movable valve member for controlling the flow of air through the air inlet; and a mechanism for coupling the first end of the first elongate part to the movable valve member so as to close or restrict the air inlet as the sensed temperature increases.
Stove
A stove for indoor use includes a housing having a bottom wall, a top wall and one or more side walls defining a combustion chamber adapted to retain a fire, and an air supply system for supplying air to the combustion chamber. The air supply system includes a primary air conduit for supplying air to the combustion chamber from below through the bottom wall and a secondary air conduit for supplying air to the combustion chamber from above. A valve is arranged in the primary air conduit or in a branching between the primary and secondary air conduits. The valve is controlled by a bimetal whereby the valve is in a maximum open position when the prevailing temperature is below a first predetermined temperature during start-up of a fire and in a maximum closed position when the prevailing temperature is above a second predetermined temperature after start-up of the fire.
Combustion device capable of measuring gas use amount, and method for measuring gas use amount
The objective of the present invention is to provide a combustion device capable of informing an amount of used gas, in which an air of gas temperature is reflected, to a user and a method of measuring the amount of used gas. To this end, the combustion device includes: a burner configured to burn gas; a blower configured to supply air for combustion to the burner; gas valves configured to supply gas for combustion to the burner; a gas temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of gas supplied to the burner or the blower; and a control unit configured to control the number of revolutions of the blower, calculate a first amount of used gas for a present operating heat quantity burned according to a signal input by a user, and compensate the calculated first amount of used gas with a measured gas temperature measured by the gas temperature sensor to calculate a second amount of used gas.

TORCH WITH INTEGRAL FLASHBACK ARRESTOR AND THERMAL SHUT-OFF DEVICE
A torch with integral flashback arrestor and thermal shut-off device is provided. In one approach, a torch body includes a passageway of the torch body, and a cartridge assembly disposed within the passageway. The cartridge assembly may include at least one of: a resettable pressure-sensitive device, and a thermal shut-off device, wherein the pressure-sensitive device and the thermal shut-off device are modifiable from a first configuration to a second configuration in response to a pressure or temperature gradient in the torch body, and wherein the second configuration restricts flow through the passageway. The cartridge may further include a check valve disposed along the passageway, for example, within a bore of a bushing, or within a retainer coupled to the torch body at an inlet of the passageway.
Combustion bypass passive valve system for a gas turbine
A combustor for a gas turbine, including: a combustor chamber; a casing enclosing the combustor chamber and defining an area therebetween for passing compressor discharge air into the combustor chamber for use in combustion; and at least one passive bypass valve for selectively extracting a portion of the compressor discharge air from the area between the combustor chamber and the casing to adjust a temperature in the combustor.
