Ignition concept and combustion concept for engines and rockets; most effective or directed excitation, ignition and combustion by means of adapted electromagnetic radiation or electromagnetic waves (e.g. radio waves, microwaves, magnetic waves) and catalytic absorbers to increase the energetic efficiency and thrust
Self-ignited burns can be increased by stimulation. External ignition must often be carried out in the combustion chamber. Often an ignition nucleus is formed electrically. This has energetic disadvantages. Required internals can be disadvantageous. Ignitions with plasma torches also need fixed internals. Electromagnetically, however, the ignition field can be widened, the combustion rate increased and the temperature changed. Due to high electrical consumption, this effective ignition has not yet been advantageous for aerospace applications. This concept should be feasible with low electrical energy requirements.
Sufficient electrical energy can be provided by turbopump, generator or thermocouple. For better coupling of electromagnetism, catalytic absorbers and possibly other particles are used. These lower the activation energy. Contactless ignition can be achieved using ceramics or metallic antennas. Ignition in the center of the combustion chamber at the highest pressures is particularly promising. The aim is to achieve combustion that is as directional as possible.
Multipurpose solar lighter
A multipurpose solar lighter for conveniently lighting a cigarette, tinder, or other flammable objects, includes a hollow upper part, which further includes an upper elongated piece, a convex lens, and a stopping tab, and a window with an optical filter; and a hollow lower part; such that the upper part connects to the lower part, whereby a cigarette can be inserted into the solar lighter, until it reaches the stopping tab, and is lighted by focused solar light. The upper part can also be used separately to ignite tinder. Furthermore, the solar lighter can include a fire steel surface and a fire striker, and end mounted pivotable thumb tabs for holding the upper and lower parts, when striking the fire steel surface with the fire striker to produce sparks that can light a fire.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LASER IGNITION OF FUEL IN A COAL-FIRED BURNER
A system and method of igniting a coal air-fuel mixture, including a burner having a burner tube operable to carry a flowing mixture of fuel and air to a furnace for combustion therein and a first flow directing device disposed within the tube, operable to direct a first portion of the flowing fuel and air mixture to a location in the burner tube. The system also includes a laser igniter within the burner tube, the laser igniter including a laser tube having a first end with a laser light input and a second end with a light output, and a laser light source operably coupled to the laser light input. The laser light source, including a laser. The laser ignitor directing photons from the light output at the location in the burner tube to ignite at least a part of the first portion of the fuel.

Fire-starting canteen
A canteen having sides, a top portion, and a bottom portion, forming an interior therein. The top portion and the bottom portion are convex shaped and transparent to light. The top portion and the bottom portion have a radius of curvature of 1.5 and 3 inches. When the interior of the canteen is filled with water, the canteen forms a biconvex fire-starting water lens. The canteen, preferably, is made of PETG thermoplastic resin or PLA, is one piece, and the thickness of the sides, top portion, and bottom portion is 5 to 7 mils. The magnification produced by the bioconvex fire-starting water lens is 2 to 6 fold.
HAND-HELD SMOKE CONTAINMENT AND FILTER DEVICE
A tobacco smoke containment and filter device with built-in ignition for treating secondary and side stream tobacco smoke that includes a main body portion having an outer chamber and an inner chamber, a mouthpiece, and a housing unit that includes a cigarette ignition system, a fan and a filter. The main body portion includes an outer chamber connected to the housing unit. The mouthpiece has an opening therewith sized to accommodate a cigarette. The outer chamber includes a smoke exhaust member branching off from the exterior of the outer chamber. An inner chamber is positioned within the outer chamber and has a closed far end containing at least one air hole and a near end joined to the outer chamber forming an opening for the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece has a smoke control system that controls the inhalation and exhalation of smoke by the user. (printed circuit board).

SAFETY FOCUSING IGNITION FLASHLIGHT DEVICE
The present utility model discloses a safety focusing ignition flashlight device, including a cylinder, a housing, and several replaceable-members. The housing sleeves an end of the cylinder, and which extends and retracts axially along the cylinder; a first lens is arranged at a light-outlet of the cylinder, and the light-outlet is spliced with any replaceable-member to form a flashlight device; one replaceable-member includes a first end ring, and the ring and the housing hold the first lens; and another replaceable-member includes a second end ring and a second lens fixed on the second end ring wall, the ring and the housing hold the first lens, light emitted from the light outlet gathers to form an ignition point after passing through the first and second lens by adjusting an extension or retraction distance. By changing the replaceable-members, the flashlight device can provide a normal lighting function and satisfy an ignition requirement.
Fire-starting canteen
A fire starting canteen that has internal fire starting lenses. The lenses can be solid or water lenses. The canteen has two internal chambers, one for holding water and the other for holding water and forming a fire burning lens. The fire starting canteens can be combined reversibly or permanently to form an inner canteen and an outer canteen with larger water-carrying capacity and fire starting capability than a single canteen. The lenses are, preferably, convex but can also be concave or a combination of both. A divider in the interior of the canteen forms the two internal chambers. The divider has a convex shape and, in combination with the chamber filled with water, forms the fire starting lens.
