Modular linear fireplace system, assemblies and methods

A linear fireplace system, assemblies, modular units, and related methods that can be installed in a modular fashion at a selected installation location so as to avoid drawbacks experienced in the prior art. The system can include modular linear units, corner units, and/or end units interconnectable to form a modular linear fireplace assembly. The system can include an alignment track system with a track member that receives alignment rails on the bottom of the modular units to axially align the interconnected units. The system can include a combustion air flow passage within the fireplace that maintains a relatively low exterior temperature of the assembly and that allows combustible and non-combustible building materials to be installed against or immediately adjacent to the top and base portions of the modular units of the assembly.

A heat deflector is disclosed that includes a first portion having a first outer edge and a center and a first surface extending from the first outer edge to the center of the first portion. The first surface sloping downward from the first outer edge toward the center of the first portion. The heat deflector further includes a second portion having an inner edge and an outer edge. The inner edge of the second portion is adjacent to the first outer edge of the first portion. The heat deflector further includes a third portion having a third outer edge and a third inner edge and a second surface extending from the third outer edge of the third portion to the third inner edge of the third portion. The second surface sloping downward from the third outer edge of the third portion to the third inner edge of the third portion.

Heating system including a safety screen

A heating system includes a heating device having an interior and exterior, via which the interior of the heating device can be seen, when the device is installed for its operation, a safety screen configured to prevent access to the exterior of the heating device from a direction opposite to its interior, and a safety screen mounting system. The screen is made of a single sheet of flexible mesh material and is stretchable along its length. The mounting system includes two lateral mounting arrangements configured for fixed attachment of the sheet's side edges to the heating device at locations adjacent the lateral areas of the exterior of the heating device in such a manner that, during the attachment, the sheet is stretched in the direction along its length.

Solid fuel burning stove and door locking assembly for a solid fuel burning stove

There is provided a solid fuel burning stove comprising a housing defining a combustion chamber and a door panel pivotally mounted to the housing. The door panel is configurable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The solid fuel burning stove is characterized by having a locking assembly comprising a lever pivotally mounted to the housing and having a hooked portion. The lever is pivotable between an engaged configuration and a disengaged configuration. The locking assembly also has a biasing member operatively connected to the housing and the lever and biasing the lever in the engaged configuration. The locking assembly further comprises a catch provided on the door panel. The hooked portion of the lever is engageable with the catch in the closed configuration of the door panel and the engaged configuration of the lever and is disengageable therefrom by configuring the lever in the disengaged configuration.

Cornerlock Having a Self Configurable First Body Member

A cornerlock is used with a frame assembly. The frame assembly includes first and second frame members each having walls defining interior voids. The cornerlock extends into the interior void of each of the first and second frame members. The cornerlock comprises first and second body members mating with the interior voids of the first and second frame members, respectively. Each body member has proximal and distal ends and are rigidly fixed to one another. The first body member has a leg and an arm both extending from the proximal end to the distal end. The leg is resistant to deflection. The arm is deflectable about the proximal end and immediately deflects upon engagement with the first frame member for engaging the leg with one of the plurality of walls and biasing the arm into engagement with another one of the plurality of walls of the first frame member.
