Temperature-regulating appliance with removable base

A temperature-regulating appliance includes a top portion, a base, and a mounting adapter. The top portion has an upper surface and a lower surface. The top portion is configured to be mounted to a countertop. The base includes a housing defining an internal compartment and a thermal element disposed within the internal compartment of the housing. The mounting adapter extends from the lower surface of the top portion to the housing. The mounting adapter detachably couples the base to the top portion.

Cooking plate and a procedure for mounting a cooking plate

A cooking plate mountable into an opening of a resting surface, in particular of a surface of a kitchen worktop, wherein the cooking plate comprises: a component box for housing functional components of the cooking plate (1), which has a base and side walls, wherein at least one of the side walls is connected to a resting fin that can rest on the resting surface in a mounted state of the cooking plate in the opening, and a positioning device with at least a limiter limiting the minimum distance from the wall to an opening edge in the mounted state of the cooking plate in the opening, where the limiter is adjustable in at least two fixed positions for limiting the minimum distance from the side wall of the component box to the edge of the opening.

Cooktop assembly

A cooktop for a cooking appliance includes a cooking panel that has a first edge. A support feature is coupled to the cooking panel proximate the first edge. The cooking panel is disposed on the support feature. The support feature and the cooking panel define a cavity. A human-machine interface is coupled to an underside of the cooking panel. The human-machine interface is disposed within the cavity and adjacent to the support feature. A magnet assembly is coupled to the cooking panel and the human-machine interface. The magnet assembly is configured to retain the human-machine interface in a selected position on the underside of the cooking panel.

Embossed feature for cooktop assembly

A cooktop assembly includes a burner box and a controller disposed on the burner box. A mounting panel is coupled to the burner box over the controller. The mounting panel defines a plurality of embossed features. Each of the plurality of embossed features extends vertically upward from discrete portions of the mounting panel. A plurality of coil assemblies includes individual coil assemblies. Each of the individual coil assemblies includes a coil disposed on a coil plate that defines more than one aperture. Each of the individual embossed features extends through an aperture of the more than one aperture defined by one of the coil plates when the individual coil assemblies are disposed on the mounting panel. A cooktop is disposed over the plurality of coil assemblies and coupled to the burner box.

Deployable grill

A deployable grill including a support frame having a support member operable between a stowed position and a deployed position. First and second brackets outwardly extend from the support member and are spaced-apart from one another to define a receiving area therebetween. A heating element is disposed on the support member adjacent to the receiving area. At least one spit rod is received in the receiving area.

SPRING CLIP FOR MOUNTING A HEATING ELEMENT IN A COOKTOP

A spring clip for securing a heating element in a cooktop is provided and includes a seat portion that supports the heating element thereon. A first tab extends upwards from the seat portion from a first junction therewith and a second tab extends vertically downward from the seat portion from a second junction therewith, located remote from the first junction. A spring tab extends downward from the seat portion and is elastically biased to a resting orientation. The spring tab is deflectable upward from the resting orientation upon engagement of the spring clip against a wall below the spring clip.

HOT SURFACE IGNITERS FOR COOKTOPS

Hot surface igniter assemblies used in cooktops are shown and described. The hot surface igniters include a silicon nitride ceramic body with an embedded, resistive, heat-generating circuit. The igniters are less than 0.04 inches thick, and when energized, they reach surface temperatures in excess of 2000° F. in under 4 seconds to ignite combustible gas such as propane, butane, or natural gas. Examples of cook top burner systems are also provided which allow the igniter to remain on after ignition at a power level that is lower than during ignition but high enough to ignite the cooking gas should a flame out occur. Examples are also provided of burners that ignite on a low flow setting (e.g., simmer) as opposed the high flow settings that are common in cook top industry.
