A cooking appliance is adapted to perform either as a single large fan-forced convection oven capable of cooking a larger food, or as smaller independently-operable fan-forced convection ovens each capable of cooking smaller foods. Features of the cooking element arrangement provide faster, more efficient, and higher quality results regardless of the size and amount of food being cooked.

OVEN APPLIANCE AND METHODS FOR HIGH-HEAT COOKING

An oven appliance may include a cabinet, a plurality of chamber walls, a top heating element, and a cooking plate. The plurality of chamber walls may be mounted within the cabinet and define a cooking chamber. The plurality of chamber walls may include a back wall, a top wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a bottom wall. The top heating element may be mounted within the cabinet to heat the cooking chamber. The top heating element may define a horizontal heating profile within the cooking chamber. The cooking plate may be disposed within the cooking chamber below the top heating element. The cooking plate may define a cooking surface having a horizontal cooking profile. The horizontal cooking profile may be matched to the horizontal heating profile.

A cooking appliance is disclosed that includes a cooking cavity, a first heating element disposed adjacent a top of the cooking cavity, a second heating element disposed adjacent a bottom of the cooking cavity, a temperature sensor adapted to sense the temperature of air within the cooking cavity, a blower arranged to agitate the air within the cooking cavity, a cookware device removably disposed above and in thermal communication with the second heating element, and a controller adapted to manually receiving cooking parameters from a user and sensed temperature information and to independently and selectively control the heating elements and the blower according thereto.

Thermal management system for multizone oven

A multi-zone, proximate-air oven using air delivered from the shelves provides a compact height through the use of low profile shelves. Intercavity heat leakage is managed by active insulation techniques making use of the oven feedback temperature control and controlled cavity loading.

Oven with Multiple Heat Sources

A countertop cooking appliance having a housing defining a cooking chamber, a user interface, three heating sources within the cooking chamber, each separately controllable by a controller which distributes power to each heating source as percentages X.sub.1, X.sub.2, and X.sub.3, respectively, and X.sub.1+X.sub.2+X.sub.3≤100%. The countertop cooking appliance may also include multiple fans for circulating heated air within the chamber. Preferably, a first fan is positioned proximate the first heating source so as to circulate heat generated by the first heating source, a second fan is positioned proximate the second heating source so as to circulate heat generated by the second heating source, and a third fan is positioned proximate the third heating source so as to circulate heat generated by the third heating source. The fans may also be independently operated by the controller.

A cooking appliance apparatus includes a first cooking compartment, a second cooking compartment that is different from the first cooking compartment, an operating apparatus designed to set operating conditions for both the first cooking compartment and the second cooking compartment, and an illumination apparatus designed to illuminate the first and second cooking compartments in such a way that depending on for which one of the first and second cooking compartments the operating apparatus currently sets the operating conditions, only the one of the first and second cooking compartments is illuminated by the illumination apparatus with a specific identification illumination scenario.

COOKING CHAMBER INSERT WITH A SPECIFIC BASIC STRUCTURE, AND COOKING DEVICE

A cooking compartment insert for detachable installation in a cooking compartment of a cooking appliance is formed to be plate-shaped and includes a base unit designed as a frame that is open upward and downward and configured to delimit a free space, and a heating element arranged on the base unit on a side that is remote from an underside of the base unit such that, at least in one region, the heating element is exposed downward. The heating element is arranged in the free space surrounded by the frame, and arranged to be upwardly and downwardly exposed in relation to the frame.

COOKING CHAMBER INSERT WITH HANDLE ZONES BETWEEN AN EXPOSED HEATING BODY AND AN EDGE, AND COOKING DEVICE

A plate-shaped cooking compartment insert includes a base plate and a heating element arranged on an underside of the base plate. The heating element is arranged on a side remote from the underside of the base plate such that, at least in one region, the heating element is exposed downward. A delimitation web is formed on the underside and has at least one region which borders the heating element peripherally. The delimitation web overlaps with the heating element in height direction of the cooking compartment insert such that a lateral protection against touching the heating element is formed, when viewed in horizontal direction. The delimitation web has at least one region which is offset inward relative to a peripheral edge of the base plate, so that a region between the peripheral edge and an outer side of the delimitation web forms a handle zone for carrying the cooking compartment insert.
